Yesterday many of us participated in a thread entitled "I miss America when it was Decent and Good." Many of us shared our memories and there were some wonderful stories.
Today, someone posts that "elderly kooky types" "infest FR" and "go on and on about their grandchildren and what a great president Eisenhower was."
Just for kicks (see I'm dating myself already), how many FReepers are "elderly kooky types?"
(Clinton Voice) “Waal, it depends on whut y’all’s definishun of “Elderly” is...
I was born at the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis, so I’m no longer young. My very first vote was for Reagan.
I only ever voted for one Democrat; before the Leftists completely corrupted them. A local fellow who had integrity coming out his ears. We will never see their like on the Left again.
I’m 18..... on the Celsius scale
Pleeze - somebody top me - I’ll hit 80 this year (whut the hale happened.? I wuz 65 “just a few years ago.”)
I’d be more concerned about the kooky part, instead of the elderly part. We have some people here who really make me wonder if they observe the world in a rational fashion. Either that, or they are here to make the rest of us look like loons.
Im not elderly; Ill be 46..Sorry Skippy. Don’t you remember John Heinz Kerry saying “Never trust anyone over 30.”? You be old.
I’m definitely a kook, and I voted for Nixon. :)
Yesterday, it was “never trust anyone over 30.” Today, it’s “never trust anyone over 80.”
:)
We forgive you for that McGovern thing. He didn’t win. Those that voted for Obama shall NEVER be forgiven!
I’ll be 57 later this month, & while I am becoming extremely extreme in my older years, I’ve never been kooky.

Confession: That's actually Uncle Si...I don't have a pool.
God bless you. Time flies, doesn’t it? The last ten years went by in a flash.
whut the hale happened.? ...You ate well, didn’t drink, smoke, do drugs and knew when to duck? God bless Ya, Pilgrim.

LOL!
Age 56. Proud to say that the first time I ever voted, at the age of 19, in the 1976 Ohio Primary Election, I cast my vote for Ronald Reagan (over Gerald Ford, who ended up getting the nomination).
Closing in on 50... But does it help if I feel 80 on most cold mornings?
I’m 63, getting younger everyday.
I am 58. I am so kooky I still say please, thank you, sir and ma’am.
If I am wearing one, I take my hat off to eat or upon entering someone’s home.
I still pull over to the side of the road for funeral processions, ambulances and etc.
I stop for pedestrians and bicycles.
I brake for small animals when safely possible.
I still put my hand over my heart and stand for the National Anthem or a flag raising/retreat.
I like kittens, dogs, guns, bows, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and don’t have time to enough of any of them.
I love my wife of 38 years very much and each of my children equally.
I like helping people.
I also smoke, drink occasionally and sometimes swear.
I pray (although not often enough) and still believe in GOD.
I wear my pants OUTSIDE my underwear and tuck in my shirt.
Much more but you get the idea.
I’m 59 and I voted for Nixon in ‘72 as a freshman in college. I could see what a phony McGovern was, even then.
