Your argument is very much attuned to the two sons of deposed Muslim Egyptian President Morsi who were born in the USA. According to how some would apply Constitutional requirements these sons are eligible based only on place of birth. To a more applicable take on the Constitution and It’s background the guys lack the qualification of parentage. As to parentage it appears that many persons deem the mother’s status trumping the the father’s status. I don’t believe that goes one way or the other and I believe that is why ‘born of parentS’ was the mindset of the Founders. Of course, I do not take a lawyer’s word as necessarily better/truer than the actual words of the Constitution. Even the august members of the SC twist the words to their favor.
