Jim has to beg for money to keep it going. The quarterly Fundraising is lasting longer and longer, stretching into two months. We now have only a one month respite before the process starts all over again.
If you, or anyone reading this wants to help, become a Monthly Contributor. Even $5 a month will help Jim keep it going without the worry of not making the goal every quarter.
As of now only one third of the Fundraising Revenue generated comes from Monthly Donor Pledges. We can do better, even in the Golden Age of Obamunism.
Less time having to raise Funds means more time keeping the whole operation up and running. If every Poster and Lurker gave a little something every Month that Jim knew would be there, maybe the dream of Equipment Upgrades could become a reality.
I’m a Monthly Donor and at the moment every dollar counts in my household. I live for the day when I can increase my Monthly Contribution. In the meantime, I supplant the money I have already pledged with a few bucks every now and again, although I admit those extra Contributions have gotten few and far between.
That being said, FR can count on my scheduled Monthly Contribution, even if it isn’t as much as Obama’s Vacation Budget.
I’m sure that doesn’t answer your question, but it might compel some Posters and Lurkers to get on board the Monthly Contributor train. If I can do it, anyone can do it.

This site takes in just shy of $925.00 seven days a week. I would think that is enough cash to cure whatever programming or server problems exist. I have had friends tell me they refuse to contribute more because it just seems to them that every weekend when they tune in to FR.com, there is some problem going on that is related to sidebars or page counts or whatever.
If the two or three million bucks that FR has collected since its inauguration isn’t enough to fix the problem, I doubt that more money is the answer.
