This site takes in just shy of $925.00 seven days a week. I would think that is enough cash to cure whatever programming or server problems exist. I have had friends tell me they refuse to contribute more because it just seems to them that every weekend when they tune in to FR.com, there is some problem going on that is related to sidebars or page counts or whatever.
If the two or three million bucks that FR has collected since its inauguration isn’t enough to fix the problem, I doubt that more money is the answer.
I don't begrudge the owners making a profit, but where does the $340,000 a year in donations go??? The user interface hasn't had any kind of upgrade worth mentioning in the 14 years I've been here, it's functional but it's about the most out-dated and simplistic you'll find.
I know there have been server-side upgrades, but it's by far the most unreliable site I've ever seen - not something I'm willing to throw money at these days.
