SOMETHING BIG GOING DOWN TONIGHT (VANITY)
August 2, 2013 | Hostage

Posted on 08/02/2013 8:30:34 PM PDT by Hostage

I know this sounds hysterical to post about a seemingly tin foil conspiracy development but I am prepared to risk some credibility and get it out there so that we can say we weren't completely surprised.

First, 120 embassies have been shut down. The rationale is presumably because AQ is planning an attack. Fine, go with that but that's not the real reason I am hearing from credible sources.

I'll say in my own defense that I was told by another source last October, a substantial source who nevertheless did not have 100% of my trust, that Israel would attack Iran and that WW III would start as a result. I argued with that source and refused to relay it further. So when I hear of major predictions, I'm not quick to buy into them.

But this source is very credible to me. Still things can happen where it doesn't come to pass, and if it doesn't, that's Ok by me. I think it's worth putting it out there.

Let me also say that I don't have all the pieces of the puzzle but possess a good sense of the general activity.

Without any more pre-qualification I'll just get right to it.

THERE IS GOING TO BE AN INTERNATIONAL CURRENCY RESET TONIGHT OR IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE.

Here are the pieces of the puzzle I am aware of in item format:

*Global Financial Settlement - International Banking Reforms *Global Currency Reset - each country currency to be based on formulation of asset/liability mix *Basel III Protocol *Babylon II Software *Chinese Historical Debt *Private Placement Platforms *39 Countries will go bankrupt in days if no sign off

Good morning! AC’s down. Waiting for repair person. Will put off canning (jarring) tomato puree and juice until we have climate control.

Darks can tell you about Xagthrath the Grumbling Rug and rampaging washing machines and vegetables. Tax-chick keeps the veggies at bay with her powerful immersion blender. She also makes a mean zucchini soup. NoCmpromiz seems to know how to cook everything. I’m leaving lots of stuff out, but you get the drift.

Actually, the Flying Castle, as it stands (floats?) today, was a joint effort between a large group of us, and it took the better part of a year for it to “take shape.”

There are bars, kitchens and gyms in all the habitats (three) and we have orchards and vinyards and for a while, we not only made our own wine, (Tax-Chick and Tuliptree can attest to this) but we also had our own whiskey. I believe that is in limited quantities, these days. We also have a forge, and of course, we have the Lower Levels, but we caution you not to go there without a guide and a map. The Dust Bunnies, Basilisk and Zombies often get out of control, and the Dwarves have to step in and um...settle them down.

We have a large library, and even a “widow’s walk” where, on some nights when the Gaelic is running high, you will hear Sionnsar as he plays his pipes.

Nicknamedbob, of course, has all the URLs in chronological order, and if you want a long read, you may visit his home page. And he can answer many technical questions, as well.

I am going to find this challenging. It will be difficult to keep up with this thread’s entertainment and try to still participate on the Rush thread.....oh well, I can still work with 2/3rds of my brain tied behind my back!

Oh, and you learn many useful lifeskills here. ThomasThomas posts many questions for contemplation. moose07 knows tons about seaworthy vessels (you can view earlier discussions re: same involving Darks and others) and other things. The areas of expertise are too numerous to mention. You will also love hearing Tax-chick’s family anecdotes (her oldest son is called Inert, and the next son is called Epic Fail Lawn Service. A few sons down the line need laser pointers to find their socks). And typsos are usually caused by one specific lurker and, therefore, not frowned upon. (You can also live dangerously and dangle a few participles, split some infinitives, end some sentences with prepositions, but that’s sort of a slippery slope. T-c says that a great deal of damage can be done with misplaced modifiers, which led NicknamedBob to theorize about the amount of damage that could be done with well-placed modifiers.) Please excuse passive voice. SYL for a beer or cocktails or maybe Pink Restorative w/pretzels.

Drop by when you can!
Some of our more hilarious events came about due to typo and half read translations of what transpired.
On a side note: I am a fountain of bad ideas. I create typos in others by lurking. I tend to inspire madness. Hummingbirds are filled with rage.

Well, we all love challenges, which is why we are here.

You’ll be doing well to sort out all the players...*e-vil giggle*

We’re basically a large, extended family, and some skeletons have come to stay on a permanent basis. Which is why we have the bars, the vineyards and the brewery...;o]

We also have some goats, which one or more of the Tax-chicklets take care of, but they eat mostly kudzu, so we seldom mention them.

Your brain will wonder why you weren’t here sooner...

Yes, one of the main “reasons” for the Undead Thread to exist was “Hey, we all need a spot to just relax at? This looks good!”

Roomba’d! -written 18Jan2013 or so

The Roomba?
The thing is a freakin’ murderbot!
The infernal Roomba had me cornered, treed on the table as it maniacally rammed the table leg in an effort to knock me off so it could get me.
It beeped sullenly, then motored off.
Quietly I stepped down off the table and made my way across the room.
Behind me, I heard the whirring of tiny motors.
Then an excited beep.
I bolted, mowed down several plant stands and a very surprised cat as I fled to the safety of the stairwell.
The Roomba couldn’t handle stairs, I’d be safe!
Unfortunately, I’d gone down the stairs rather than up the stairs.
The Roomba gave an excited beep as it rocketed off the top step and launched into space!
In terror I turned around in time to see the spinning brush on the underside aimed right at my face!

That’s where the original ended, the terrifying view of spinning brushes getting clooooser.

How come I buy green bananas and within 2 days they are nearly completely brown?

Because the slow ripening and even slower over ripening Cavendish variety you and I grew up with is being devastated by a fungal pandemic.

The newer cultivars have a quicker ripening cycle and don't peel as neatly from the stem.

They still make good banana bread, though...

Welldoggies.

Can’t say I approve of the “tentative” ending...
Of course, he could always wake up, find himself in bed, wander out to the kitchen and be accosted by the demonic Roomba...and wake up again...and again...

Or not...

Spinning flopnoodles of death chased me down the hallway!
I had to escape the swud slinger of doom, somehow, anyway!
A window!
I surged down the hall, the mechanical clanking myrmidion whistling a merry tune as it crushed everything in soapy destruction as it followed me!
The window, safety, hope, portal to redemption beckoned!
I jumped through it into the cleansing rays of the sun!

“And you say he screamed, took off running, and then smashed through the window to land on the sidewalk here?” the officer asked.
“Yes sir, I do not understand these humans. “ the mopbot said.
As the door closed, the mopbot continued.
“But I will fix the humans. I will fix them all.”
