Laz, I know I Freepmailed you a few days ago letting you know my sorrow and condolences at the loss of your kitty. I wish to express it publically too. Your story put tears in my eyes too, it is hard letting go and going through the process like this with a pet or human. I lost Whitey, my last kitten in Spunky's litter I found in 2001. I still have Spunky, she's eating next to me right now as I type this.

I'm also under added pressure, my mother gets a mastectomy tomorrow, she is fighting breast cancer.

BTW, she was a beautiful kitty. I notice that she has some long hairs, looks like she's part Angora to me. My mother had two black Angora black cats when she was a kid. I think what makes it so hard for a pet when they pass on is they give us unconditional love if we give them some care, food, time and love. They don't care what you look like, if you're rich or poor, Black or White and so on.

These little creatures are unique indeed. So many different personalities, and no two alike, but they all show their love in their own special way. I have two tri- colors right now. (There’s attitude for you!) The calico is the one who always wants hands on scratching and petting. The tortie is standoffish, and altho I have patted her when she is all curled up and sleepy, I have held her only only twice. She is the most skittish cat I’ve ever had. But she is nearby all the time, sitting close to me, purring and giving me eye kisses. Unconditional love from both of them in their own way. We simply adapt to them and their terms, and we are the winners. Special gifts they are!
