I believe William IV was the oldest person ever to become king of the UK, about two months shy of his 65th birthday.
Prince Charles will pass that barrier in a few months.
George III had nine sons. Two became king, two died before George III died, two others died before their brothers the kings died - but three were still alive when Victoria was queen.
I'm still unsure why she became queen instead of her surviving uncles.

It’s always nice to see someone “having” a baby instead of murdering it before it has a chance to live.

Queen Victoria's Father, Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, was the next in line to the throne after the future William IV, but he died in 1820, before either of his elder brothers. However, as he left surviving offspring, (i.e. Victoria) her place in the line of succession was superior to those of her father's younger brothers, regardless of the fact she was female.

It passes to the first born. For example, Prince Harry used to be in line after Prince William, but now this baby will be first in line. Likewise, Prince Charles brother was replaced by Prince William.
If Prince Charles were to die or abdicate, then Prince William would be the King after Queen Elisabeth, and not his uncle.
