I spent the weekend neutralizing tomato hornworms. Only got six on Saturday, and found none at all on Sunday. We planted Romas, and I lost count of all the immature tomatoes they ruined. I usually don't care to kill things, but this was a notable exception. Kudos to Mr. Sg--he was the first to spot one.

It's raining here! Yayyyy!

If you find a hornworm with what looks like a white fungus on it's back, leave it alone. That "fungus" is actually the eggs of a wasp that preys on hornworms. Let some of those wasps get established in your garden, and you may never have to hunt a hornworm again!

Oh wow, SG, I am such a newby, I have not encountered those yet! I’m glad to see that about the wasp, Ellendra.

What I have encountered in past few days is the monarch caterpillars on my parsley. I have decided to sacrifice it to them. They are so pretty, and I haven’t been using the parsley at all anyway. I’ve just been enjoying how pretty it looks!
