Doctors with black patients need to think twice before indulging in humor, as a Tennessee doctor recently learned:
A Mid-South woman has filed a complaint with the Tennessee Department of Health after she said the doctor she went to see for back pain gave her an insulting diagnosis.
He said I know what the problem is. Its ghetto booty, said 55-year-old Terry Ragland about what she was told by Dr. Timothy Sweo in April.
I think I blacked out after he said ghetto booty. I think my mind was just stuck on the phrase because I couldnt believe he said that, said Ragland.

IF he really said that he is a stupid, stupid man.
Well if you are morbidly obese it affects your blood pressure, breathing, heart, digestion, hormonal balance, can cause Type 2 diabetes, and affects the musculoskeletal system, stamina, sleep and general fatigue.
Oh yeah and depression. There’s not much it doesn’t affect.
Holy Cow! She’s actually proud of those twin peaks of cottage cheese.
You can not lie.

They did it!
I don’t bother to tell them to lose weight, I just say its “ all the WORK you’re doing standing and walking that just wears your joints out” or all work causes you to be short of breath. It doesn’t matter what you say to someone that is 100-200 lbs overweight. They know they’re fat. Just like smokers know it’s bad for you.
I always get the, “I know, I know, you gonna tell me to stop smoking....”. I just look at them and say, “nope, I want you to smoke as much as possible..... I’ve got 4 kids and if you stop smoking I won’t see you all the time and pay their tuitions”
You don’t get out much, do you? I’d recommend a dose of the “People of WalMart” website...
I seriously thought you were making that up so I googled it. That really is a tribe. Just wow. Those women must have terrible back pain.
And take yo picture
so you are what you eat.
I saw a black woman who had to be pure Hottentot. She was only about 5ft tall and had the most enormous butt, thighs, and legs I have ever seen on a human. If I could have snapped a picture of her WalMart style I would have but I never got the chance. To make matters worse she had on skin tight pants with 3inch wide black and white stripes.
I’m not talking about anyone who is morbidly obese but for some doctors extra weight, no matter how small, is the blanket reason for any ailment.
I developed the average late life belly roll after abdominal surgery a few years back. That was followed a few years later by a diagnosis of type2 insulin resistant diabetes which is very low level. No need for insulin and continued exercise and watching diet made no difference. That it wasn’t my belly roll was confirmed for me when several skinny as a rail acquaintences of mine developed the same problem, all of us in our late 50s, early 60s and all in good shape physically.
My doctors all have said, nothing to do with any body fat, just getting older.
No, you are not what you eat, you are what your unique body metabolism makes of what you eat. I know many who eat anything they want and do not gain any weight or fluctuate more than +- 5 pounds. They are not overweight; good genes like some of my family is what I would suspect.
I ate anything I wanted in mass quantities up into my 50s and never had a weight problem; I weighed a puny 145 lb at 6ft when I entered the Marines, 165 lb when I graduated from boot camp and throughout my military career never went above 185 as I aged. After some abdominal surgery, I developed a belly roll and put on an extra 10-15 pounds but the doctor says no problem and I’m in good shape.
