The word is that Gretchen Carlson is going to Meg Kelly's slot when Meg Kelly moves to some unannounced evening time slot. Apparently, the newly hired Elizabeth Hasselbeck with become the morning Fox on the Fox and Friends couch.
Whither goeth Meg Kelley.
1. Not replacing O'Reilley, Hannity, or Greta. Unless one of those are announcing retirement or a new partnership (Hannity and Kelly?), neither of which seems likely to me, then she'll not be replacing those flagship programs for Fox News.
2. That leaves 2 evening slots, one I like but don't watch, and the other of which I don't like and don't watch, respectively "Brett Baier" and "Shep Smith".
Baier is the traditional news program, the 6 o'clock time slot that is supposed to be hard news. I don't see him leaving. I'd like to watch his show more -- I even like it -- but 6 o'clock is seldom available to me, and he is on only that one time.
Shep, on the other hand, has 2 shows, and that alone makes his evening slot the most vulnerable. Besides that, his show just isn't that interesting. He isn't either. That makes Smith a weaker lead in for O'Reilly than it possibly could be under Megyn Kelly.
Please get rid of Shep.

I especially hate how he was walking down Bourbon Street the day after Katrina saying how NOLA missed a bullet. All the while, the levees were being breached.

Gerri Willis may be a possible bump, though I find the Willis Report to be pretty informative on a specialized level. Maybe as a rotating host position?

My bet is they move Greta down an hour. And put Kelly in the spot Greta is occupying right now.
This lineup has the highest ratings and makes the most money out of any cable news. They’ll just add to it.
Besides about 1/3rd of the time Greta stays on late anyway.. especially if there is big news that lasts late into the night.

Greta responded in a tweet recently saying she just signed a long term deal with Fox, for a prime time show and that she’s not going anywhere.

Lots of people said that. And they were right.
Katrina essentially missed NOLA. The devastation that ensued was the result of flooding caused by decades of corrupt practices in building and maintaining levees, not of a windstorm.
And of course by GW Bush sending in special forces to sabotage the levees so as to hurt black people.
He’s an Ole Miss alum. That’s reason enough to get rid of him. Lol!!
O’Reilly has an arrogance that offends the viewer.
If they boot Greta to a later time-slot, I will NEVER watch FOX again. I seldom watch TV anymore but if they do this, DONE.

Shep is just a prissy little ass-hat.
He inserts comments as “toss aways” trying to be an every man. The problem is that much of the time his toss-away lines are simply inaccurate or biased in a way that makes his delivery of any real news suspect.
My God, there are people on MSNBC that do a better job reporting the news.

Max Robbins was on with Howie Carr yesterday and said Greta is trying to get her old job at CNN back.
I must admit I didn’t see Fox that day, but I distinctly remember various news stories showing an essentially undamaged NO soon after the sun came up. I remember one shot of downtown buildings with few if any broken windows.
The bulk of the storm was indeed to the east, as I spent the ensuing several months working to help clean up the damage in MS.
Final landfall was ~40 miles east of NO, and the damage as always was greater on the east side of landfall than the west.

If they move Greta to 9 oclock and put Kelly at 10, then what do they do with Hannity, who is now at the 9 oclock slot you’re putting Gretchen into?
