OF COURSE, a Not Guilty verdict will be a green light for the looter class to rob stores. Look for the police to stand aside and do NOTHING.
Every CONSERVATIVE outlet should be trumpeting this angle on the Zimmerman trial. Almost every LIBERAL on every cable show is talking about how weak a case the state has. When the verdict comes in, and the looting begins, there should be outrage against the looters.
What you’re talking about is Urban vs not-urban. If you live or work/drive in a big urban city, you’d better be packing. Elsewhere, watch where you buy your burgers, etc. if you don’t want them spit in, or worse.

On the contrary, I look for the police to defend the rioters from the people defending their property.
Our city has just changed all the street signs in our neighborhood to “cursive”, so they won’t be able to find us when they start rioting.

On the 4th, seemed like every other house had a city-like firework display. Was annoying after a few hours. 360 deg super fireworks everywhere. The dog was shivering all night. Sounded like a battlefield. Come 10pm, Mother Nature had enough and rained. It stopped.
I worry that the civilized have become complacent to the point that they are losing their civilization. I hope you are right in projecting a not-guilty verdict. I think it’s a coin toss.

Note LEOs have never run any “white people don’t riot” messages on tv for controversial verdicts - like on the OJ case, for example.
Police departments do not worry about, with good reason, white people rioting. Never heard them have to draw up emergency plans for angry white mobs rioting.
And if you’re thinking the 60s, if whites were in the riot, every other color was there too. They weren’t in the rioters of the black panther ones. The folks government worry about rioting are urban black people.

When’s the last time you heard of whites doing a huge flash mob that cleans out a store or mall? When is the last time ever there were riots by whites? The only times I can think of recently is when whites (and others) waaay back fought against the KKK marching in their towns. And that wasn’t exclusively whites fighting - and the white KKK nutjobs were just marching down a street, not looting or shooting.

It is, of course, not legal to carry a handgun on your person or in your car. Nor can you carry or transport a loaded long arm. Carry permits are not available to anyone except retired LEOs, politicians and their cronies.
But every precaution up to the limit of the law is being taken.
Riots? Mostly no.
Flash mobs coordinated via Facebook, and Twitter to pretend like they are so that a small group of thieves can have cover to rob stores? Yep.
It must be nice to be a member of a group tha tis above the law.
You are so right. I’ve said it a few times, but I will say it again. An angry,
agitated rioter transforms to a happy, satisfied rioter when he is running
from a store with a new boxed HDTV or X-Box in his arms.
