My state requires by law that everyone provide name and address to an officer. No other information is required unless:
- the person being stopped is a CCW licensee
- is a person on parole
Based upon the advice of a local attorney, my comments to a police officer should begine with:
“Officer, my name is XXXX and I reside at XXX, I am a licensed CCW holder and I am armed. Am I being detained or am I free to go?”
Cops need to stick with their primary role:
Raising money for the Welfare State.
