The key is catching the ball. Pass patterns are pretty simple for tight ends - they are usually only an issue for wide receivers. This is why I mention Graham - all he brought to New Orleans were the physical tools to succeed - in two years he was All-Pro. Anyone who has watched Tebow run the ball know he has the physical tools...the only wild-card I see is whether he can catch passes at an elite level.
The initial pass patterns for TEs tend to be pretty straight forward. Where the big skill for TEs comes is blitz detection and knowing whether he should stay to block or go out to be the hot read. Tebow’s not so hot at blitz detection when he’s off the line, not sure he’ll do it better on it.
