Someone referred to them as sandy hookers earlier today. They have sold their souls to the likes of mares against ill-eagle guns and nanny bloomers. Sad. Heard there is in fighting over the money raised. A few are sensible but the majority are suffering from psychological projection issues.

To my knowledge 2 lawsuits have been filed: [one by Disabled Americans for Firearms Rights/a gentleman who is handicapped by hemophilia and another by the CCDL and Coalition of Connecticut Sportsmen]

..in addition.....the Newtown people are asking for the feds and state to pay for a $20M *new* school to be built...b/c *they* need to be made whole again, per DickDick Blumenthal.

Also, if that didn’t make you gag, crafted in SECRET, Connecticut passes law restricting access to Newtown shooting, other police records:

Fed moolah for security is rolling out:

Still arguing about how to split the SH donation $$$:

Some of those families on their media tours are probably underwritten by their mayors vs. 2nd amendment.. bloomberg, etc... as long as they don’t order a big gulp, their expenses and makeup and wardrobe is paid for... maybe the cast will reunite in six months like the boy meets world crew

There are Connecticut and federal laws preventing lawsuits in these kinds of situations: Limited liability for the school, sovereign immunity for the state, Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act from the feds.

It will take a while to dredge up plausible grounds for lawsuits. Lawyers may have to get permission to file suits, and the official investigation hasn’t been completed.

A government school is different from a commercial movie theater.

Oh, please! Lawsuits would require that nasty “discovery” process ... and no one wants that!

I’m not clear about what you are saying. Are the *families* you are talking about from SH or somewhere else?

There is only one first selectman in Newton/Sandy Hook.

Their first soiree was gratis from your POTUS on AF1...Thurs they left town on a commoners coach bus.

The lawsuits will come, for sure. There’s precedent. It’s just a matter of time. Columbine took several years.

Columbine occurred on April 20, 1999:

May 27, 1999 — A $250 million wrongful-death lawsuit was filed by the family of Isaiah Shoels against the parents of the gunmen.

DENVER (CNN) — A $250 million lawsuit filed Thursday accuses the parents of Columbine High School student gunmen Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris of failing to supervise their children.

Attorney Geoffrey Fieger filed the lawsuit in Denver on behalf of Isaiah Shoels’ parents,Michael and Vonda Shoels, who stood on either side of him at a news conference. Their son,an 18-year-old Columbine senior, was one of the students shot to death in last month’s gun and bomb assault in suburban Littleton.

“This is not about money,” Fieger told reporters at a Denver news conference. “This lawsuit is about accountability.

A federal judge Tuesday dismissed most lawsuits filed against police and all claims against a school district by victims and relatives of people killed and injured at the 1999 Columbine High School shooting, lawyers said...

...Lawsuits against the parents of the two gunmen and friends who helped them get their weapons have already been settled.

Seems like within a month, at least one family had an attorney willing to do something for the poor victims... I am sure we can dig up more school shooting lawsuits..That first one wasn’t against the school or the police or some security company... right there against the perps parents... I mean lawyers need their pound of flesh... even in wealthy CT....

But my point is THEY WERE FILED... and HEARD by a judge... only one has (that one so the media could PUBLISH) in six months and that has been withdrawn... not by the JUDGE... that was withdrawn by the attorneys..... then the media ran stories.... first in a long line of lawsuits blah blah blah.. etc...

One’s lack of knowledge of an occurrence says nothing about the reality of it having happened.
