I need to go hang up the clothes. I’m still not using the washers here, so I end up begging someone for the use of a washer. I have my own detergent, and only dry sheets and towels, but I’ll be glad when we get the all clear on the bedbugs.
I don’t understand how someone can have something like that and not “know” about it and not DO something about it. I loathe insects.
Anyway, it’s a toss-up at this point: money for gas or money for the machines. Win some, lose some and some get rained out!
Your perseverance astounds me! I think I would just lie down and die without my washer.
I really resent not having one, but there aren’t even any hook-ups here, and I think that’s really poor planning. I hate being “dirty,” but I don’t always feel like hiking to the laundry room or loading up the truck to take the laundry somewhere else.
And I don’t trust aides with my laundry. Chances are pretty good that they will ruin something because they are lazy, or don’t pay attention.
I told one several years ago NOT to leave my clothes in the laundry room for ANY reason, and a while later, I stepped outside for something, and there she was, heading for her car. ERK!
Even with written instructions, I can’t trust the people who are supposed to “help” me. But don’t get me started. LOL!

I will try to avoid both the time warp and the blowgull warning, and will stick to my own method of “putting it away so I can find it again.”
My mother had THAT down to a science. She always wore aprons (not the over the shoulder kind, but the kind that just went around her waist) and she always made two HUGH pockets on them.
If we lost something, we would ask her, and out of the depths of one of those pockets would be the item we had been looking for. Often for a couple of days. She would know where everything is...

If you ask them, they’re indentured servants. We’ve had a rather loud thunderstorm the last hour or so. It woke Jake up. “Meow!” he said, as if it were all my fault.
I think I was fairly lucky in my choice of parents. I was never treated as a “little servant,” but was asked if I would be so kind as to..... Of course, what does a child know? I realized that it was much better for all if I did a thing willingly than if I had felt compelled.
But then, when I married a man who had semi-grown children, and I saw the way he wanted them to behave (obey his every wish) I put my foot down and told him in no uncertain terms that the children were NOT slaves, and if he weren’t so *cusswords* lazy, he could do the errand himself. He didn’t like it, but he never again asked the kids to do “fetch” something he could have gotten/done/reached easier.
But again, don’t get me started...some things just really tick me OFF!!
