He gets points for being from Uvalde, Texas, home of Sam Rayburn, but I don’t think he’s hot.

Absolutely. I used to go to the theater in Norfolk with Mom, if Miz Joan, Miz Mary, or Miz Suzanne couldn’t use her ticket for some reason.

Having lived in Del Rio, I can’t imagine something like Matthew McC coming from Uvalde...
They had the only McDonaldo’s I ever saw.

I had a “mission” in Del Rio, and I never turn them down, even though I have no clue in the beginning why I’m there.
This one consisted of befriending an elderly black man before his death, and I was able to give him the peace of mind he needed to pass to the Other Side. He was uneducated past the third grade, but he was one of the wisest men I ever knew.
I loved him, and still miss him. I was there when no one else was, and I believe that’s why I was “sent” there.
Questions will be answered via FReepmail, if there are any.

The Movie Reviews
"The Call" with Halle Berry, Abigail Breslin, Morris Chestnut, Michael Eklund, David Otunga,
Michael Imperioli, Justina Machado, José Zúñiga, Roma Maffia, Evie Thompson, Denise Dowse,
Ella Rae Peck
2013, Rated R for violence, disturbing content, and language, 94 minutes
A 911 operator is unable to stop the violent death of a young teenager, so she goes into tutoring new
911 operators. But one of her pupils gets a similar call, and she takes over and eventually discovers
that it's the same guy. He is a ruthless killer who blames his mayhem on his victim, the kidnapped
child. There were many twists and turns in this interesting story. It was headed toward four stardom
until the Berry character decided to investigate, discovered where the perp and victim were, and
without telling anyone, went alone to the site. After that point, it was downhill.
★★
"Oz The Great and Powerful" with James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams,
Zach Braff, Bill Cobbs, Joey King, Tony Cox, Abigail Spencer, Martin Klebba, Bruce Campbell
2013, Rated PG for scary images and brief mild language, 130 minutes
This is the prequel to "The Wizard of Oz." A carnival magician and utter phoney (Franco), whose
nickname is Oz, gets swept away in a hot-air balloon by a tornado, and he ends up in the Land of
Oz. Everyone he meets seems to think that because his name is Oz, he is the fulfillment of the
prophecy of the Land's late king. He knows he has nothing but bravado and slight of hand. But the
wicked witches, who murdered the king and send their flying baboons to ravage the land, have
gone to far. He uses what science he knows to put on a very convincing magic show. Some critics
hated this film, but we really liked it.
