Microsoft Security Essentials just detected about 6 attemps at *Trojan: Win32/Jpgiframe.A* trying to install on *latest post* page.
11:10am and still getting ERROR messages from FR... I’m going to shut down all apps and run full-system scan with Win Defender; MalwareBytes still doesn’t pick-up all the malware as well as WD does.
Have used it several times on friends and relatives computers.
It will *root out* stuff in the registry that other anti virus programs will miss.
Thanks; on it now.
Then your widows scanner is matching the embed to the wrong Trojan as I suspected in the first place. I was not able to find the picture on the host site so I could not verify the Trojan that you reported so I looked it up on Kaspersky and that led me to McAfee and the explanation I gave you.
Ad.yield manager is nothing more than a data miner. It’s not a Trojan.
It’s owned and operated by Yahoo.
Another false positive like the one my uncle got for some incurable disease named after somebody. Two weeks later he was runned over by a truck!
You are not getting the point. The Iframe in the image IS A Trojan. It does not load a Trojan, it is a Trojan in its own right. Iframes do not belong in image data.
When the browser downloads the image, it will place the image data in the display page, and when it goes over the final page, it will execute the iframe and load the page link hidden in the image data.
It dos not mater what page the iframe links to. The iframe is being used as a Trojan. It may be used for innocuous uses, or harmful uses.
In this case, the iframe is being used as a Trojan to load an ad tracker page without the knowledge of the people that linked to the image, or the knowledge of FR.
I meant to reply to cold heat, not revolting cat.
thx
Yup, I run it on this computer and the OS is XP Pro.
Never had trouble running it with XP.
