A Nova Scotia school is causing controversy after deciding to stop celebrating Mothers Day and Fathers Day, instead opting to recognize the International Day of Families instead.
The Dartmouth elementary school said it is aiming to celebrate diversity and inclusivity while avoiding making children who are part of non-traditional families feel left out.

I do not find your prediction improbable! It seems to be part of human nature to believe that what *is* is what *must be*, and that life couldn’t go on any other way.

Maybe, a child from traditional or non-traditional families might have attended a dame school in the home of a neighbor just a few houses away from their homes with 4 to 10 other students who were there also for day care, as well.
Maybe, the local day care center provides schooling through the 8th grade.
Maybe, there are tutors with home study.
Some summer camps might retrofit to become boarding schools.
The local Karate studio, children's theater, or dance studio might become a small school.
There are communities across this nation who have vibrant and **first class** fire departments that are completely volunteer run. Are citizens who are capable of providing fire departments and EMT services not also fully capable of organizing schooling for their community's children?

It was pointed out that bad neighborhoods don’t cause bad schools. Instead, it is just the opposite. Bad schools cause bad neighborhoods.
Socialist-entitlement, single-payer, GODLESS, and compulsory schools are** bad** schools. That is why society has collapsed.
Perhaps, these education folks will someday, help children remember “Ass Kicker’s Day.” The day when all parents actually raise their children, along with the parentless- like they care, every day of the week/year.. I look forward to that day. I am a good father and grandfather, to those who have known me- one way or the other. My great grandmother raised 32 children during the bad times, when folks had to give their children over. That’s just the way it was in North Dakota. You just do the next right thing- no matter what. That’s living. No matter what.
