I need some prayers and good thoughts since my mother was just diagnosed with breast cancer and we are just beginning to fight it. She goes for a PET scan tomorrow and also to an oncologist to get meds to shrink the cancer. She also has a good doctor, some friends and acquaintances have the same one and many women have kicked it with her help plus the doctors say, "don't worry, we have many ways to fight it." Many thanks to all.
You and your family will be blessed with recovery, keep the faith!
Prayers up for your Mom and all the family.
It is cheap, makes sense, and you can use it with any other treatment you receive. I you google your way around, you will find plenty of people who had cancer and now do not. I have no personal experience with cancer or the protocol, thankfully.
One word for that - AMEN
May God hold her AND you in the palm of His hand.
Prayers up soldier!! You are her best weapon to begin this fight in asking for prayers. Steel yourself for battle..but never forget that she can win this fight and that each day is a blessing. You will both be in my prayers.
God Bless and Good Luck.
Prayers.........
Please accept my heartfelt prayers for your mom and all of you who love her.
I am placing your mom into Holy Mothers Immaculate Heart for safe keeping. Prayers for you both, and your family.
My mother got breast cancer at the age of 86. She had a double mastectomy and they put her on Tamoxifen due to her age and she passed away in her sleep at 92 cancer free. Old age and the Lord took her home.
Your mom will go thru this just fine. Have faith and may the good Lord watch over her and give her strength. God bless you all.
You have my prayers, Nowhere Man. I know, and know of, women who are living full and happy lives after beating breast cancer. You sound like you are educating yourselves about the facts, while digging in for the good fight and staying positive and hopeful.. That’s a good place to be as the first steps are taken on the road to recovery. Give your mom our best thoughts and wishes and let her know many prayers are being offered by her FRiends and yours at Free Republic. If you can, please keep us informed about her progress and take good care of yourselves. Good luck and may God bless!
I agree! My mom had breast cancer for 10 yrs and once she stopped “fighting” her quality of life improved because she wasn’t sick from Chemo and treatments. Quality of life does matter so prayers up for your family and prayers for peace and drs who know exactly what to do...not to little..not to much.
Prayers have been sent!
Paul Stamets' mother went from stage IV breast cancer to no detectable cancer.
And an audio link here
you need to go to www.breastcancerchoices.org and read up on iodine and how it prevents and stops breast cancer. Our reproductive organs have iodine receptors that when depleted, we are prone to cancer. People HAVE TO supplement with iodine and we need to be taking a minimum of 50mg/day. People with cancer should take upwards of 200mg/day. People in Japan get large amounts of iodine every day and have very little cancer in their country.
Prayers up.
Her first name is Patricia.
I know you want spiritual help too. Of course you do! We’ll be here for you and with prayers for your dear mother too. I just spent the last year dealing with breast cancer, surgeries, chemo and radiation and now the leftover side effects, so if you’d ever like to FReepmail me for any reason, or she would like to email or contact me, I’m there for ya.
God bless,
Shimmer
Nodding head. Yep
My friend went through that four years ago. She is up and running, has her exact same life WITH the added bonus of realizing, really, that every day is a miracle. It was one heck of a year, don’t get me wrong. She is almost 70. Your mom will make it. Breast cancer is very treatable compared to some, I believe. Do pray, often.
Carmelite cloistered nuns in Alhambra have a website where you can put prayer requests. I have to dash to rehearsal or I’d post it, but it’s easy to find. Southern California, Alhambra Road I think it is on. They love to pray for us humans/ and keep very busy I am quite sure.
