Well, Mom had her Pet scan and they say she has small tumors all around her body like liver, brain and so forth. The breast doctor says it does not look good. B-( However, I’ll talk to her oncologist too as well as explore other options, I like what Yogi Berra said, “it ain’t over till it’s over.” Needless to say I’m open to suggestions.

“it ain’t over till it’s over.”

You are so right. As long as we're alive, there's still hope.

We really need a cancer warriors ping list (if there isn't one) because there are so many people here who have fought it or are fighting it now. They may have more advice for you.

In the meantime, here's my humble opinion: First, go for the conventional treatment. I don't know what the doctors will offer to do in this case - probably more chemotherapy.

However, sometimes, if a patient is too weak, doctors will refuse to give chemo if they think it will do more harm than good. If the doctors refuse to give her chemo, remember to ask them about clinical trials.

In the meantime, maybe you could consider holistic/alternative treatment. Some holistic/alternative treatments that cancer patients have been trying recently are:

Vitamin D3

Intravenous Vitamin C

Other supplements supposed to help fight cancer

Cutting all sugar from diet and drinking fresh vegetable juices

I wish I had more suggestions to give. Hopefully, someone out there will see this thread and give more suggestions.

Well, my mother’s breast docotr thinks there is not much hope but
I talked to a couple of oncologists who believe that there could be some hope, not for a full cure of course but to maybe manage it enough to extend her life, how long, they do not know and they will have to see if it can work. I’m also printing put materials too about the various INC centers too to see if I can get any of the oncologists to contact and consult them to see what they think. First, they want to try radiation to the whole brain to stop the swelling and hopefully shrink the tumors prior to the chemo. THey got her on steroids for that now, there were times Mom was kind of in a stupor and/or loopy but she is doing 95% fine. She had double vision, it has been reduced but still a side issue. Mom is determined to fight. I’m doing research online as well as my aunt, her sister.

Headed to church now. While there, I will pray for your mom and you and her doctors.

Also, let’s look into starting a cancer warriors ping list, if there isn’t one already. I’ll probably post a vanity message about it, and I’ll ping you to the thread.

Yeah, we moved Mom to a personal care home yesterday and she signed a living will, my aunt, her sister, takes care of the medical side and me, the financial. My aunt and uncle do go on a cruise for two weeks soon so I’m secondary on the medical as well. Just got a lot on my plate, cleaning the place up sice whe someone is sick and you’re the only caregiver, the place can look like a pig sty but next seek, I have a friend or two to help me. Also, I’m looking for a full-time job or two part-time Obama ones, but I have to get some affairs in order to protect the estate first plus I know a few people I can talk to who can point to me for employment hopefully. I hate to sound pessimistic but I do need to prepare to go it alone. I’m also speaking to our chiropractor on how we can do things naturally to help extend her life and give her some quality too. I’m praying to get through the New Year and we can negotiate from there.

Well, sad to say there is nothing they can do for Mom, she is most likely going to stay in the rest home until she passes on. B-( Myself, I have started to look for work so I can support myself while working to unload the house since I cannot take care of it alone. I know we have made bad economic decisions, but that's in the past. I wish I could have Mom with me, even if I start over but there is nothing I can do, but I think once I unload the house or walk away from it, I know I'll feel some sense of relief in that case. I'll still be here and I'll still check in but I just wanted to say thanks to all for their support.

I know they tested Mom's IBC and it was negative to all three general types of way they use to fight it so there was nothing they can do. It is depressing to see it rob Mom of her mental ability and other things too. B-(

NM: God is with you. I am praying for courage for you, and peace for your mom.

The latin root of courage is cor, means heart.
