The thing about time travel I never get is the distance issue. If I were to go back in time, the spot I occupy now would be empty space. The earth would not have gotten here yet.
Remember, it’s space/time. Today, as you travel through space, either driving in a car or flying in an airplane, time comes right along with you. You never arrive before you left. Since we still have a bit to discover about the details of time travel it may be that space comes right along with you.
