Jeff, your posting history on Free Republic stands as a permanent testimony of your undying love and support for your master, Barack Obama. You've spent untold hours, days, weeks, and months here, fending off every possible challenge to his legitimacy, yet you have the gall to sit there acting offended that anyone would have the temerity to question your loyalty to conservatism and the U.S. Constitution?

My posting history stands as a permanent testimony of my love and support for our Constitution and the truth.

The birthers' posting history stands as a permanent testimony of their absolute commitment to find some way, legitimate or illegitimate, to declare the current President "ineligible."

I can't tell you how many dozens of bogus, fallacious arguments in support of that goal have been presented here. I can give you a good guess when it comes to the Constitutional side of things alone, because that's the side I care more about. I've counted at least 45.

I don't think this is a tolerable situation for those of us who really care about the Constitution and the truth. For those who care more about finding some pretext for declaring the current president ineligible than they actually care about the Constitution and the truth, well, it's no big deal. Throw the Founders overboard. Throw our history overboard. Throw any genuine, accurate understanding of our laws overboard. Hey, we have a chance here to pretend that the current President (who is a disaster in so many ways I can't even count them, either) is ineligible.

Well, it's a nice fantasy. But from a real, honest, Constitutional point of view, it simply isn't true. And it makes those of us who really are conservatives look like idiots. And do I care about that? Yes, I do. Quite a few other people do, too. I think. I hope so.

Because if we look like idiots, we're not going to win the next set of elections.

Ah, but... you say. We can have him declared ineligible and driven out of office. Well, that's a total and absolute fantasy. It's never going to happen. NEVER. Do you understand me? This is the voice of wisdom, speaking to you.

I think someone here in the last week tabulated the record of birther cases so far. Somehow the number 317 sticks in my mind. If it wasn't 0 for 317, it was darn close.

Do you know what the definition of insanity is? It's doing the same thing, and expecting different results.

Doubtless the person who wrote that had in mind people trying the same futile action 5 or 6 or 7 times.

That's not the birthers. The birthers have done the same idiotic thing more than 300 times now, every time expecting, or at least hoping for, a different result.

How stupid is that? How insane is that? I can't even tell you how stupid and insane that is. Well, I can, but not on a family-friendly site. Because it requires a powerful expletive to accompany the words "stupid" and "insane."

But let's entertain, for a moment, the idea that there might be some faint hope. It's a complete fantasy - you might just as well hope that Bill Gates is going to pull your name out of the phone directory at random and send you a check for $50 million - but let's entertain the idea for a moment.

How on earth do you think you can possibly support that process by making arguments here, on FreeRepublic?

You can't. There's nothing you can possibly accomplish with birther arguments here, except to divide conservatives, and distract conservatives from doing whatever is required to win the next set of elections, and draw the attention of conservatives away from issues that matter more. And... make conservatives look like idiots.

Which, if that's your agenda, well congratulations, because I think the birthers have been fairly effective at that. And I am not alone in that opinion.

So let's go way beyond reason, out on a lunar trip beyond reason, and assume for a moment that lightning strikes, on a clear blue day, on a target made out of plastic and propped up in the middle of a field of daisies. Let's suppose that the brilliant and charming Orly Taitz finally finds an "honest judge," and he rules that Obama is ineligible (ha!), and it goes up the line and - wonder of wonders - the US Supreme Court affirms the ruling and says, "Mr. Obama, you must vacate the White House."

Now that's a fantasy on the order of imagining that Charlize Theron is going to ring your doorbell next Saturday and burst out that she really has this uncontrollable desire to feel you in her arms. But, we're fantasizing here so we'll go the whole enchilada.

Who, exactly, would that leave as President?

Yes, that's right. Biden. You know, the guy with the low-wattage IQ. Dim Bulb Biden.

You're telling me that would even be an improvement?

I don't know. Maybe it would. But it wouldn't be much of one.

Just tell me one thing. What's your handle on Fogbow? No sense denying it any longer. 'Fess up, and be done with it.

You are just so full of it.

You have no way to defend your Constitutional position, because it's indefensible. So you come up with all these stupid insinuations and ad-hominem attacks.

As you might expect, I'm not a "Fogbower." Well, you know that already. Like some of the other conspiracy nuts here, you just want to try and smear me in any way possible, to distract from the fact that your bogus Constitutional arguments have been beaten to death by the facts.

How is it you don’t know that Biden wd be an improvement? (Speaking of dim bulbs—do you honestly believe Obama is not about as dim as they get?) Do you really believe Biden hates the USA as much or more as Obama? Really???

Jeff, you're insufferable, and nothing more than a motor-mouthed jabberwocky who turns out pages of text to try and silence those you disagree with. Unfortunately, you don't seem to have the capacity or analytical aptitude to make (or comprehend) a reasoned argument.

I asked you a very simple hypothetical question about a month or so ago, regarding what sort of citizenship would be most preferred for the office of President, by a body of people framing the constitution for a new government.

I laid out four or five common circumstances of birth, and asked you which of those would produce a citizen most likely to remain true and loyal to his countrymen and their founding compact.

It was a very simple exercise in reason, and you could have answered correctly in short order, but you didn't because you realized that the most logical and correct answer to the question would deflate your entire anti-birther argument.

In fact, you made me demand an answer to the question over the course of half a dozen exchanges or more. That showed clear evasion and intellectual dishonesty on your part. The clincher was when you finally replied, "I haven't really thought much about that."

Incredible. You've probably posted more words on the NBC subject than any poster in FR history, yet I'm supposed to accept your feigned inattention to the very core of the issue? Please, don't insult my intelligence.

You backed down and pretended that you didn't notice you'd been checkmated.

Well, I noticed it, Jeff. It's why I've written you off. You blinked at the most critical moment in this long and winding argument, which shows that you have nothing when it comes right down to it.

Personally, I'm convinced that you're working for Team Obama. No one invests the sort of time and energy into an issue as you have, unless they're being paid for it, they're fighting for their very life, or they've got an unhealthy obsession of some sort.
