Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe, who has repeatedly spoken out in favor of same-sex marriage, says he now worries that his career with the team may be on the line. On Sunday, Kluwe said he is starting to sense that rumors surrounding whether or not he will be released from the team will soon become distractions. Its a shame that in a league with players given multiple second chances after arrests, including felony arrests, that speaking out on human rights has a chance of getting you cut, Kluwe told NBCs Pro Football Talk via text message.

You always have the right to say what's on your mind. The great thing is that *I* always have the right to disagree with you, and act accordingly.
Give it time. As the NFL Commissioner, Goodell just needs to find the right opportunity to declare his support for that, too.
We already have to tolerate the pink wrist bands, ribbons, socks and cleats for the entire month of October. I think they are on their way to a more diversified blood sport.
When prissy NFL punters have to perform under these circumstances, maybe we'll pay attention...
Remember SD Charger punter Darren Bennett who first played Australian Rules Football. That guy was not afraid to deliver a hit.
I do indeed ... and those guys are expert at kicking on the run, too. However, with the “2-man downfield” punt rules & the fact that some punters can’t kick w/o doing their “ballet” steps, it’s a wasted talent.
This is the latest canard, just like the basketball player who came out of the closet today.
If you’re on the bubble of being cut cry “Homophobe!” and make the owners deathly afraid to not employ you.
What a punter!
I am a die-hard Viking fan who grew up in Duluth. Half my friends were pack fans, the other half were Viking fans. Made for a very interesting childhood in the 60’s.
Now I live in Chico Ca. Everything was fine, until the Pack drafted Aaron. Now that he is their starting QB, I feel as if I moved to Green Bay.
My nephew goes to the same High School Rodgers went to. My niece goes to the same community College Aaron went to because no major college wanted him. That is until he proved how good he was at Butte Community.
Great player, great guy. However, if I wanted to live in Green bay, I would have moved to Wisconsin, not Chico Ca.
Even though he is king here, I still only have two favorite teams, the Minnesota Vikings, and ANYONE PLAYING THE PACK!
My wife has family in the Western U.P. of Michigan.
98% Packer fans. She had two cousins though who rooted
for the Vikings. When one of them passed away suddenly
a few years ago he had a Vikings helmet displayed on his
casket. In case you have never heard booing at a funeral before...
Ball don’t lie...
Isn't that what he's insinuating in the first place?
*Ducks for cover*
Or it could be that they’re replacing you with a better man. Hope you enjoyed your 15 min. of fame, Loser.
If he's gone then all three of the "these guys are coming out of the closet" story folks are either cut or retired. Coincidence?
You're there to play football, not run your mouth.
at Tweeting, video games, and self-promotion, yes.
Klewe’s was the VikeQueens.
Is he a good kicker?
barely average.
thanks
