You are incorrect. Al Gore sold Current TV to AL Jazeera which is primarily funded by the Oil Industry. He would not have done that if he knew the entire oil industry was under playing AGW. The author should have stated The EU/US Oil Industry in all its guises. The Arabian Oil Industry wants to promote AGW as a tool to cripple their EU/US competitors. And some of the leftist dupes, have started to get a clue as to how they have been railroaded into the gas chambers. Al Gore's selling of Current TV woke up a couple.

Both NASA and NOAA models had solar cycle 24 peaking in 2013. It's currently looking like the peak already happened at the beginning of 2012 (look at blue trend line), and the peak looks like a Dalton-type minimum.
