They should have come here...no rain. Heat, but LOTS of A/C and a beach not to far from here.
We have gully washers, too, but we have real gullies to funnel them to the lake!

Some people went to the beach this afternoon. I held Kathleen while she took a nap. She was upset about getting covered with sand. It might be nicer tomorrow.

Your vacations are always enoyed vicariously! Sand gets into the creases of all of us.
We have a train coming from the chemical plant a few miles away, and this is unusual.

In the first place, she didn’t like the sand because I wouldn’t pick her up covered with sand. Then she didn’t like getting the sand washed off. DP is taking pictures of the ocean again.

Sand is a part of life, and we need to learn that early. I learned it in Alaska, trying to wade out into the Pacific Current that fed Auke Bay.
Since then, sand has become a “plaything.” *winking*
However, some kids just do NOT like the grit!

Last I saw Darks he was trudging off to the Underground Asylum, er, Lab pulling a wagon of assorted electronica while mumbling something that sounded like 'resistance is futile. You will be assimilated', and blasting something from Rage Against The Machine at maximum volume...
Or maybe it was Welcome To The Machine, I'm not sure...
