It was actually a small stroke that caused the fall, and I suspect the stroke was due to her drinking. Still, I am hopeful that she will recover soon.
Her youngest son has races to concentrate on. He is due to go back to MA in September to be at his youngest daughter’s wedding, and his mother’s birthday is the next week, so I’m hoping she does what she is supposed to do so that he can have an enjoyable visit.
It IS cute! In a creepy sorta way! LOL!
Bet you can think of much more horrible things than wipers on the other side of glass can you not?
Yes, I can imagine a large Rotweiler or Pit Bull..... or perhaps a tornado.
Dog brushing is very relaxing.
LOL!
If Anoreth goes to sea and leaves us Piper, maybe I’ll get into dog-fur crafts. It’s nice, warm white fur! I had a whole Walmart plastic bag of it after only a short time, but I had Patrick take it out in the woods and scatter it for nesting materials.
Thank you very much for the pink slug, NoC! Congrats re: successful dealing with ivy and dems, too!
Good afternoon, y’all! Wow, it was difficult to log in this morning. Our 84 yo combat vet neighbor was hospitalized after he passed out yesterday, so we visited this morning. Fortunately, he didn’t fracture anything.

There. I fixed it.
I know. We had a red Siberian and I loved brushing him. He loved it, too!
He was a Show Dog, a 25 Point AKC Champion, but he was as dumb as a brick, and didn’t even know what a ball was. He learned, though. He also learned how to sing (shyly) for his dog bone.
He was awesome!
We haven’t mentioned anything about Mr. Quackers being missing because of neighbor’s being in hospital. He can’t enjoy the pond any more because he’s losing his vision (macular degeneration) and it’s rather a distance from his house.
Congratulations to your youngest and to the lovely parents, too! Have a wonderful day!
Sorry to hear about your neighbor. I hope he’s better soon.
We’re slowly getting packed for the trip. It’s hard to find 3 clean sets of clothes for teh byos, because they usually just throw dirty clothes on the floor instead of putting them in the basket.
“Do we eat these?”
Cat: “Hey, a string!”
Oh! If I’d gleaned that much fur off my kitties and someone put it out for nesting materials, that someone would be treated to a very polite recitation of why they should never do that again without asking. Please. [smiles]
Yeah, I used to have a nasty temper, but I have mellowed in my dotage.
Is dog fur bad for birds? Anoreth said that’s what she did with Piper-fuzz in New Jersey.
And would you like a package of dog fur, if I should brush her again?
