Oh, gee—gotta hit the sack! Good night and sweet dreams, y’all!
"Only if they die."
I suspect you have misinterpreted the question. I think it relates to consulting directly with God. Some call this prayer.
I say, no one is in any better position for such communication than anybody else.
However, I would advise, don't pester. That's got to be annoying.
Prayer works, if you want that Interface.
But the Angels carry our messages, so if one wants a “One On One” with the Creator, one must be prepared to accept the Caveats.
We won't go there. But I want to make the observation that the problem with religions, all religions, is that there are people who claim the exclusive right and ability to speak with and to God.
That's a caveat I don't accept.
send pics?
Thank you NicknamedBob! I needed that. :-)
I’m witchoo, Bob! Great poem!
It is an awesome feeling to be that close to God.
I am not perfect and never claimed to be.
But one thing I am sure of is that
God has chosen ME to give folks comfort when they need it,
a word or hug in passing, and something else besides...
what else is His for the asking.
As bespeaks the funeral I recently attended....I was there for family members, and they, as I suspected, had no real clue. But they didn’t know how much I loved the woman that passed through my life as well as theirs, and therefore, they had no idea how much I mourned her passing.
But your poetry is, as always, spot on, Bob! Thanks!
(Did you ever decide to put a volume [or two] into print? I am so anxious for this!)
‘Face
I will take pics in the early AM and send them to you ASAP!
FYI: I love my truck!
Thanks! It’s on the list!
"Hyde Park on Hudson" with Bill Murray, Laura Linney, Olivia Colman, Samuel West, Elizabeth
Marvel, Elizabeth Wilson, Eleanor Bron, Olivia Williams
2012, Rated R (an overreaction to a very brief simulated sex scene in the distance), 94 minutes.
When the king and queen of England visit President Roosevelt (Murray) in order to obtain his help
from America's armed forces for the upcoming war with the Axis powers, Roosevelt is masterful
with the monarchs but distracted by Eleanor, his own mother, and his many mistresses. It was really
very well acted, and the story was interesting and presented beautifully. We gave it ★★★★
"A Late Quartet" with Christopher Walken, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Imogen Poots, Catherine
Keener, Wallace Shawn, Mark Ivanir, Liraz Charhi, Madhur Jaffrey, Anne Sofie von Otter
2012, Rated R for language and sexuality, 105 minutes.
A world-famous string quartet (Walken, Hoffman, Keener, and Ivanir) begins to fall apart when their
leader, Walken, is diagnosed with early-stage Parkinson's disease. As the others jockey for position,
Ivanir and Poot (daughter of Keener and Hoffman) start a short-lived affair. Then things get worse.
The music was very good, and the acting was excellent by all cast members. We really enjoyed it
and gave it ★★★★
Thank You for those two reviews. I swears someday there will be time to watch a movie. Thought thinks I is lying.
Me is too...going to bed to stops the heebie-jeebies from making me feel the sillies.
