I'm trying to come of with the name of a piece of music. I have very little to describe it. I heard it being played on a classical station the other day, but it's not classical music, I don't think. It's weird, creepy, dream like music. I believe it was used in a funny commercial in the last couple of years. I think the people are lethargic in the commercial. It's dream like music. A creepy dream. If I could come up with the commercial, I could come up with the music. HELP ME!!!
Thank you mylife. I appreciate it.
There's this drunk in a bar and it's just him and the bartender.
The drunk wants another drink but is out of money.
The drunk offers to sell the rights to some music he wrote for the price of another drink.
The bartender isn't going to be cheated so he tells the drunk to play it on the piano and if he likes it he gets his drink.
Drunk proceeds to play this fantastic tune that the bartender had never heard.
Bartender pours him a drink... and asks, why haven't you sold this to a music publisher... Drunk says he's tried but the music keeps being rejected.
Bartender asks: What is the name of the song? Drunk answers, it's "I love you so F'ing much I can't Sh_t."
No. I think it’s electronic. It’s slow. Not “classical”.
TWO in particular would laugh over that...!!
I looked up the first 4 from your suggestion...none of those. I know not the last one. Thank you though. I’m never going to figure it out. I don’t think it’s classical. I’m listening to so much music it’s escaping from my brain now.
Try searching youtube for the bells of St Agnes (?).
I know. I'm sorry. I'm nuts and I wanted company.
Creepy, dream like? I think the piece is that emotional and tender classic...Does Your Chewing Gum Lose Its Flavor on the BedPost Overnight.
Wonderful stuff, truly a tear jerker.
No not that one. It’s very slow. Floaty type music with a creepiness factor to it. More modern sounding. Not classical.
I’m scared!
Thanks! Going to peruse that site!
Would most of us recognize the tune? If so, what era would you guess it is from?
But it's too classical to be what you've described, I just love it.
And BTW it took me a long time to find "Harry's Game" from a VW commercial.
It was so beautiful, but I had no idea what it was, so I ended up making a long-distance call to VW to find out what it was. (pre-internet)
Oh I know the theme from Harry’s Game by Clannad. Funny enough I had to write to U2 in the 80’s to find the name of it. They used to close their rock concerts with a recording of it as people were filing out. :) That’s weird you should mention it.
I’ll have to listen to it. If I don’t find the song I’m thinking about, maybe I’ll find some new favourites.
I’m guessing it’s modern. I don’t believe it’s classical but I heard it played on a classical station and recognized it from being in used in a commercial.
