Just a year and a half ago there was an Eskimo gal in western Alaska who tried the same gambit after she assumed I was desperate and an easy mark! At least you haven’t yet also asked for my SS check every month like she did, so I admire you for that! HAW
Oh yes, she also asked that I buy a camper van to chauffer her around the lower 48 on a year-long sight-seeing tour before I became old and disabled. Unfortunately, she was too late! HAW

You could be grateful that you didn't get snatched up in a Rendezvous with obligations....if you get my drift. :)

DANG! How did you know she was missing half her teeth?? She did claim to have other assets though, including recent running water and indoor bathroom facilities, and promised to keep a warm fire going for me all winter long! Of course that required me to sign over my SS check to her every month...

Oh, did I forget to mention the 160 acres of prime hunting/fishing land in the Kilbuck Mountains of western Alaska - geese, ducks, ptarmigan, salmon, trout, caribou, bear and moose? No utilities there - 99.9% of all the prime areas are far off the grid and the only comms are sat phones; jet boats and bush planes offer the only access, except in winter when snow machines can go anywhere depending on how much fuel you can carry! Fortunately, I’m too old to take “advantage” of all those opportunities due to old football injuries to knees and ankles!
