Thanks!
I finally couldn’t take it any longer and called my son. He said he is fine and that when “they” got home last night, he was “too distracted” to follow up on telling me anything.
*sheesh*
He is at work, but obviously, his truck is totalled. I told him not to even ask to borrow MINE! LOL!
Not sure how I feel about his silence. Unlike him, for sure.

That is good to hear. He probably feels pretty upset about the truck. I hope he had good insurance, both for any injuries he may have had treated, and for the truck repairs or replacement. I also hope that he visits you soon so you can see for yourself that he is all right. God bless you both.

Well, unnngh, but at least your son is okay! At his age, he should have remembered to send you more information. Of course, I didn’t learn anything about DP’s accident except a text, “We had a collision but we’re still running the race,” until 24 hours afterward, and I was still digging details out of him several days later ...
It was ... a technology problem, that’s it!

Aha! We were right! (Character flaw: I rub things in. Toldja ya shoulda called him earlier. I couldn't go to sleep last night and then slept 'til 1030.) See, the logic there is guythink. They're darling and loveable and all that, but some of them are space cases. It isn't intentional. They just don't see it! He probably figured, "I already told her I'm OK." They then transfer energy to whatever brain compartment they need to use at the time. Serial thinkers. I read a book called "What Could He Be Thinking" or something like that, and it actually explained brain structure, processes involved, studies which included imaging results, etc., concerning the differences in function between the male and female brains. It isn't that he doesn't care. It was not in his consciousness.

"Not sure how I feel about his silence. Unlike him, for sure."
Having been in several vehicle crashes and other very loud
concussive events, he may be suffering from the following:
- Concussion
- Embarrassment
- Shock
- Worry
If there was anything serious you would be the first to know.
The inverse logic may be as follows: By not telling you too much, you don't have as much to worry about.
Weird sounding, but,i have worn that tee-shirt.
He
will tell/confess to you when his head settles down and the Fog clears.
Could he by chance have inherited a 'stiff upper lip' from somewhere?Just my 'quids' worth...(((Huggs)))
