Greetings fellow patriots! Houston we have a problem! A big one. I'm located in South Louisina 337. On February 28 a white SUV pulled up to the house with red DHS lettering with Texas plates. (Texas WTH i thought y'all were with us) I saw them pull in the drive an met them outside at their truck 2 agents late 40s-50s. They say Hi we are here doing a survey. One agent pulls out 3 volumes (looked like phone books almost sizewise) He ruffles through the pages in first then second volume. He finds my list (The 1 that they don't have). he says so we are doing a survey and we are going around visiting everyone and trying to verify if you own or still have these firearms. He proceeds to show me my list. Every gun i bought from a dealer is on this list. Every one from 22s to Mosin Nagants and everything in between. I was blown away and still am. Many bricks have been shat since then! I told them nah i don't have any of those dangerous baby killers gave them all away after Newtown. They left but sat parked down the road for a couple hours. Probably coordinating drone strike. I have ony told a couple of close friends i trust. I've been tryng to keep it together. The first person i told also had a visit exactly 2 weeks before me. He ordered a questionable part off the net an that's what the agents told him they were after. He lives 5 minutes down the road. I was freaked then but I didn't think anything of it you know he brought it on himself. Until i got a visit. All my stuff is legal and above board. No worries on that part. But then why did i recieve a visit? I don't know i've been gripped with fear since. Keeping watch on my porch, almost sleeping outside some nights. And then yesterday my wife's friends parents who are an hour north of us got a visit. Only the mom was home and she told them to hit the street. These people are farmers and have guns but mostly Fudd guns and relics passed down. The father was going somewhere on business this weekend and next week. He cancelled. Even the Fudds aren't safe from this. My only solace in all of this is the 3 massive volumes the jackboots had. I know i'm not the only one. I don't know what to do?! It took this long for me to tell somebody else. My wife and i are scared [crap]less!I'm not sure if they are testing the waters seeing who will comply. Or if it's something else entirely. Why down here? Why not in Commiefornia or one of these other liberal dreamlands? I thougt we were good we just voted to strengthen the 2nd in our state. i just keep saying in my head. WTF?

I’m not tempted by what’s on the Outside. And I hate going to shop for “lite” store-brand yogurt, only to find the store has sold out to “Greek, carb-friendly, low-fat and tasteless.”

*sheesh* All I want is a pina colada generic lo-cal yogurt that doesn’t cost an arm and an innard. If push comes to shove, I’ll take the generic yogurt with all the calories, but why do I need to dance for the pleasure? If I want the spendy stuff, in whatever form is offered, I’ll pay for it. Otherwise, STFU! *oops* Sry. Stupidity should hurt at all levels...the more one is paid, the more the stupidity should hurt.

If one listens closely enough, and one is looking for good things, one can still hear him piping, though instead of dirges, he pipes rejoicing.

He’s been gone two years in June, I believe. But I am reminded of him every day! :o])

It is a joyful thing.

I was thinking more in terms of the influx of illegals from Third World countries, when I mentioned illiteracy. If the parents can’t read, because of circumstances in their home country, what chances do the children have?

Come to America, and you can have an anchor child who will then be given an education, tax/tuition-free and while that child is dependent upon you, you cannot be deported.

The parents know enough to get on welfare immediately, though they need an interpreter, and can’t sign a legal document.

But don’t get me started on immigration or “affirmative action,” as personal experiences come into play and my righteous indignation raises its ugly head.

Suffice it to say, I have no sympathy for stupid.

If you then send him down to Level 10, he will, indeed, believe his world is ending. As it will be.

I’m not sure, but when the subject came up, while we were in the South Pacific, it was more like, “The sky is the limit!” and the rest is history.

Of course, had it not been for Stag, we would simply be The Undead Thread, and not the Flying Castle. Our first venture was a beer run, if I recall, and we inadvertently enabled the pliesiosaur to find True Love.

My appliances conspire w/each other to crap out at the most inconvenient time.

I just walked Crowbar along the edge of the forest and he's under my feet, whining. I opened the door for him and he refused to go out again. I wish I had an interpreter. Maybe some cookies will make him happy....

"Isn't High Altitude Airborne Launch and Recovery of Space vehicles already in the development process?"

High altitude launch is a current capability, for up to about a half-ton or so into orbit, I think.

(Pegasus)

Airborne retrieval has usually only been done for things like sampling materials and film packets, though it is possible for larger capsules, and generally not considered man-rated.

I was going to plant tomatoes this year, but...in a few weeks, I will be heading for North Carolina, and bunk for a week in the home of a really AWESOME family, and that week would have been critical for the crop. Perhaps next year, when I have nothing more exciting to do, I can add a couple of...(lost the word)...plant beds?

Of course, here, we can have two crops a year, so when I get back from hiatus, if I have the money, I will plant a couple of tomato beds. Morning sun, afternoon shade. No burnt plants, here! LOL!

Unpleasant. Reminds me of having studied the eating habits of certain Asian people who—never mind. You get my drift.

I’m annoyed by the Greek yogurt craze, too. Fortunately, I can still get the one kind of regular (fat-free, sugar-free) yogurt I like, in a quart container.
