Greetings fellow patriots! Houston we have a problem! A big one. I'm located in South Louisina 337. On February 28 a white SUV pulled up to the house with red DHS lettering with Texas plates. (Texas WTH i thought y'all were with us) I saw them pull in the drive an met them outside at their truck 2 agents late 40s-50s. They say Hi we are here doing a survey. One agent pulls out 3 volumes (looked like phone books almost sizewise) He ruffles through the pages in first then second volume. He finds my list (The 1 that they don't have). he says so we are doing a survey and we are going around visiting everyone and trying to verify if you own or still have these firearms. He proceeds to show me my list. Every gun i bought from a dealer is on this list. Every one from 22s to Mosin Nagants and everything in between. I was blown away and still am. Many bricks have been shat since then! I told them nah i don't have any of those dangerous baby killers gave them all away after Newtown. They left but sat parked down the road for a couple hours. Probably coordinating drone strike. I have ony told a couple of close friends i trust. I've been tryng to keep it together. The first person i told also had a visit exactly 2 weeks before me. He ordered a questionable part off the net an that's what the agents told him they were after. He lives 5 minutes down the road. I was freaked then but I didn't think anything of it you know he brought it on himself. Until i got a visit. All my stuff is legal and above board. No worries on that part. But then why did i recieve a visit? I don't know i've been gripped with fear since. Keeping watch on my porch, almost sleeping outside some nights. And then yesterday my wife's friends parents who are an hour north of us got a visit. Only the mom was home and she told them to hit the street. These people are farmers and have guns but mostly Fudd guns and relics passed down. The father was going somewhere on business this weekend and next week. He cancelled. Even the Fudds aren't safe from this. My only solace in all of this is the 3 massive volumes the jackboots had. I know i'm not the only one. I don't know what to do?! It took this long for me to tell somebody else. My wife and i are scared [crap]less!I'm not sure if they are testing the waters seeing who will comply. Or if it's something else entirely. Why down here? Why not in Commiefornia or one of these other liberal dreamlands? I thougt we were good we just voted to strengthen the 2nd in our state. i just keep saying in my head. WTF?

It’s taller than I am but it’s only big enough for one person. I don’t really understand the design theory behind it.
Also, it’s very slow.

it’s probably a new edition of the Baker Electric, only not as well designed, or with as much range.

I don’t think Frontline would help against nano robotic fleas.

Something that is a cross between a coconut crab, hermit crab, and a particularly angry car with armor plating would ruin your day.

Afternoon, everyone. 72 and partly cloudy, with no sandstorms in sight.

In the “Things that make you go Hmmmmm ...” department, Tom says there’s a “Turn off blood” option on Assassins’ Creed III.

“Turn off blood...” Does that mean no one bleeds, the blood disappears before it splatters you, or you won’t bleed if you lose? Hmmmmmmmmm....

"Something that is a cross between a coconut crab, hermit crab, and a particularly angry car with armor plating would ruin your day."

Yeah. We didn't (we won't) even know they were there until after we'd lost quite a few modified spiderbots.

While they, of course, were ramping up their technology with the scavenged material. If we had known about them in advance, they wouldn't have been able to reach near-parity in space armaments.

Up until they got our technology, they weren't able to take advantage of Venus' mineral wealth.

With our unwitting assistance, they jumped several centuries of development time in just a few Venusian days. (But a day on Venus is longer than its year.)

I would guess it means no visible bleeding in the game. If you pass out and hit your face on the keyboard, that’s not their fault!

I’d guess it means, once you’ve been injured, you can make the bleeding stop.

I do that myself. It’s usually my hands that take the injury, so I clean the wound site, and then relax for a bit with my arm elevated.

In a minute or so, Presto!, “turn off bleeding” has been implemented.

All y’all make it sound so simple!

I will not drink.
But if I do, I will not get drunk.
But if I do, I will not stagger.
But if I do, I will not fall.
But if I do, I will not fall face down on the keyboard to prevent blood from getting between and under the keys...

Like that?

Yah. Got it. ;o]

That goes wrong in the first step.

I won’t drink ... until I feel that I can reward myself for a day well spent.

And then I will relax, and enjoy my moment, and then I will get some rest.

Sounds lame, I admit, but it serves me well.

Tom is underage, not that this stopped Anoreth from drinking, once she was at sea.

As parents, we learn that we quickly lose control of those growing things we call “children” soon after puberty begins to set in.

We do the best we can, and hope the first five years of love and guidance will sustain them (and us) through the Rough Spots. My son is nearly 50, and I’m having more trouble with him now than I did in the last 45 years. Period.

One never knows...

But one must NEVER, ever stop loving them or stop praying for guidance, for both them and you. And above all, hang in there. ;o])

The late Igor used to say, “God watches over drunks and sailors.” He knew because he was both! LOL!

The late Igor was very intelligent, but had several blind spots when it came to women and personal interactions. He had a lot of faults, but I saw through them and was rewarded. (Though my immediate family thinks he was arrogant and pompous. Both of which he was.)

But when he was at his best, he was fun to be around, and wise in the ways of the world (and other things that mattered) and was responsible. There isn’t much more to say about him, but I am working on his personal history, and it explains, in a round-about life-long way, why he was the way he was.

His life was a part of History.
