I would guess it means no visible bleeding in the game. If you pass out and hit your face on the keyboard, that’s not their fault!

I’d guess it means, once you’ve been injured, you can make the bleeding stop.
I do that myself. It’s usually my hands that take the injury, so I clean the wound site, and then relax for a bit with my arm elevated.
In a minute or so, Presto!, “turn off bleeding” has been implemented.
