I still think his Super Bowl halftime show was the best one in many years!
You and I are of like mind. His was entertaining , not like some of the recent “shake a thons “
Who is the guitarist wearing the cap and standing to the left of Jeff Lynne (Jeff’s right) in this video?
From what I understand, he did the 'weird name change thing' as a poke at some publishers he was having issues with.
I've never been a big fan of his music, but he's a very talented musician and composer.
Ok, not my fave song but watched anyway...
Prince kind of out of place here but played pretty well, Petty a frontsman, Winwood should have been lone key boardist, think the drummer is Petty’s go-to drummer who is always awesome but not on this (”Ruunin’ Down A Dream” and “You Wreck Me”). Harrison’s kid stunning how he looks like dad; too bad dad smoked himself into an early grave.
Love these kind of threads every now and then because it leads to new music for me (Bonamassa)...keep them coming!
Somedays music is the only thing that keeps life worth living..especially after reading what’s going on in our beloved country with Obozo and thugs.
Jeff Lynne is a very underrated guitarist.....He did a great solo on ELO’s “Showdown.”
A more than competent vocalist as well I think.
Look on YouTube for Jake Shimabukuro’s version of this. I saw it live last fall and it’s amazing what this guy can do.
Prince plays ‘Fallon,’ apparently smashes another dude’s guitar
