I am sure that people who eat very low amounts of bacon or sausage or other processed meats are more likely to often do other healthy things in their life; like keep a healthy weight and/or exercise.

Correlation is not causation. Otherwise watching >5 hours a day of TV is a KILLER!!!! Well - maybe it is that those that watch >5 hours of TV are also more likely to be overweight and less likely to exercise regularly.

No, no - that makes too much sense - watching TV KILLS! Must be the cathode rays!!!! /s

Recent studies have indicated that if your job requires you to sit at a desk for 8 hours a day, your risk for colon cancer is much higher, regardless of your exercise habits. Since many of us do exactly that, I believe they should be banning work before banning pork.

Food equates to calories, that's it. While it does affect our body in one way or another, lifestyle affects metabolism, predisposition to cancer, and other health anomalies more than any amount of consumption.

So right! This is just another phony "study" designed to spread an ideological meme under the cover of being "scientific." With a little time and effort "studies" can be designed to "prove" anything.
