The OReilly Factor host Bill OReilly unloaded on show regular Alan Colmes on Tuesday for failing to name a specific program President Barack Obama would be willing to cut, other than entitlement programs like Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.
Yep. Gotta give credit where credit is due. O'Reilly get's one "Atta Boy" for this one. He's finally caught up with the other half of the country.
NOW he understands where the TEA Party is comming from.
Maybe this was a bit of Kabuki theater, maybe it wasn’t. But the sheer fact that this went out over the air shows that something is going on behind the scenes and whatever it is, Obama will not benefit from it.
A few years back there was an article on FR that I referenced before but could not find again, about a supposed interview with a CIA type that said that the world at large (in the world of power sense) would go along with Obama until he did something that threatened that power. Then cracks would emerge and his fall would be swift and total.
True or not, we can only hope.
Boy I thought Mr Bill was going to jump over the desk and cold cock that little snarky commie Kolmbs! Now that would have been great TV!
No one is happy with the direction the country is going (execpt for the 30% of scroungers who'll do anything, and I mean anything for an extra welfare dollar on the 1st).
The Republicans are missing something very important - oboma is the one driving the bus. He's the leader of all this. He's the man in charge of all this. They've got to get out and remind people of that little fact over and over and over again until people get sick of hearing it.
Hadn’t watched anything on FoxNews in two or three weeks, but reading here about the O’Reilly hubbub, I tuned in for the replay. It was worth catching. Don’t really know how sincere it was or not on O’Reilly’s part. Hard to sometimes gauge, with his carnival-barker tendencies. But compared to years of O’Reilly constantly splitting the middle and giving Obama “the benefit of doubt,” it was a welcome reversal.
There may indeed be a shift going on. It was almost imperceptably subtle, but that day last week in which the news broke of Obama opening the doors to let loose the illegal-alien criminals... you could sense a ‘disturbance in the force.’
Bill is just still pissed about his generator.
The fact that they do not shows they WANT what Obama is doing. Simple math. If they did not, they have more than ample evidence on any number of issues to scream it from the rooftops and even impeach his ass.
They don’t.
The conclusion points only one way.
O must have looked at his internal numbers and seen them falling.
I agree with you. It is mind boggling. Colmes is good a warping the message and needs to be called out. There are things I don’t like about O’Reilly, he talks over too many people, but he is really an honest, traditional guy with a touch of narcissism. I think it comes from his upbringing and it was obviously very lower to middle class. Harvard for him was a magnificent achievement. He is basically a very sound fellow with a good heart.
The USA and its economy won’t last that long...
You’re right. I watched it only because it was talked about here on FR, but the way he kept making references back to it during the rest of the show tells me that this was a controlled event that he orchestrated just for the show business aspect of it. In other words, it was just for show. Manufactured outrage.

I disagree. Colmes is horrible at it. He was Hannity’s punching bag for years and all he does is spout one bald faced lie after another. Take away his script and he’s nothing. WITH his script he’s probably worse.
Look at the guy. He’s physically horrific. His voice is nails on a chalkboard. His ‘smile’ makes pacifists want to punch it. His various ‘shows’ are always short lived.
I’m sorry, but I do not see him as a good rep for the Left. For us he would be a goldmine. And therein I think lies your issue.
BO did what EVERY person should do when ‘debating him’ on TV. Hannity (And I’m not a fan) used to do it regularly. You simply call him on his/the left’s BS and don’t back off no matter how big his snit fit gets.
It’s just that no one does. Same for any random leftist up to and including Obama. It really is that simple.

I think he had become obsessed with getting obama on his show again, and thats why he bent over backwards to give obama the benefit of a doubt. I think he’s finally woken up to the fact that it isn’t going to happen. I’ve noticed over the last few weeks he’s come down harder on obama. A lot harder.
I think he honestly lost his cool, and felt the need to justify his outrage for the rest of the show, because he didn't mean to show the viewers that loss of emotional control.
I think he's just had enough. oboma is getting away with the most destructive policies this country has ever had to endure, and even O'Reilly can't stand to watch it anymore.
He's usually a middle of the road type of guy. If he takes sides, he loses viewers. His claim to fame is his lack of bias and sticking to just the facts.
And I think this was the first time I’ve ever seen him go off on another Foxnews employee like that. It was in your face “you’re a liar, Colmes!”
Does anyone else find it ironic that the “specific cuts” being touted by the mindless Libs are Medicare?!?!? They are rallying the liberal mouthpieces to claim credit for the $716 billion in cuts as a demonstration of their fiscal capability. Yet, during the campaign, they did everything they could to lie and say “we never cut Medicare”. The level of absurdity in this circus is unbelievable.
Carnival barker! LOL! A great way to describe the bloviator!

I think that BOR is deeply offended by the elitism and hypocrisy he see’s at Haaaavvvvaaaard. The depth of intellectual dishonesty at that institution is just astonishing.
Here now! What are you, ungrateful?
Bill is “looking out for the folks, ‘cause the buck stops here!”
