This thread is for survivers of the sequester to document the disaster for future generations once civilization is rebuilt.
Well even by YOUR calculations , it’s better than the what 20% annual growth in government?
Sequester = good thing
Wait. . .I thought it was supposed to be a 2% cut. Shouldn’t they have reduced double stuff to 1.96-stuff? Or was there a baseline increase in double-stuffness?
Yes, just not so good as you'd been making it out to be.
Hang on, my boss at my former job is calling my cell phone. Wonder what this is about????
“I just woke up, Did we survive ?”
BOL! The same here. We were out carousing last night, actually going to good high school play.
This morning I noticed:
Our home was still standing and our neighbors’s homes.
Our fishwrap had been delivered apparently without the delivery lady being shot, stabbed, raped, mugged or suffering a car jacking.
Some kids were walking by to their shool, and other were being NasCared by their mothers.
Our water, sewer, electicity, natural gas, cable tv, internet and phone systems were still working.
My trophy wife and her gene pool like to talk in the early morning. She uses our landline and her cell. Everyone in her gene pool was still safe and alive. She texted our grandkids, and they were on their way to schools which where still open. Their NasCar driver, our DIL, said the traffic lights worked and traffic to and from the school. She and the kids had no problem. When, she got home her, I phone worked.
Our adult sons drove trucks or rode their bikes to their real work places with zero problems and everything is working including them and their work staff.
My wife said the local tv stations which make a cat in a tree a major story, had no disasters to show.
Obviously the Seq bs has really impacted us.
Yeah you know everything (actually not)
all I hear is that government will be cut.
Any cut in government anywhere is the best news ever because THAT has never happened ok , get it? Now I don’t care what you say and I’ll post what I want.
What’s to say any new debt bill would be adhered to any way?
Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974
Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985
Budget Enforcement Act of 1990
Balanced Budget Act of 1997.
“Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Balanced Budget Refinement Act of 1999”
Restoring Fiscal Discipline Act of 2007
Yep, just one more bill ought to do it.
Well, this sucks.
Thinking everything would be different when I got up, it’s not.
I still have to make lunches, make beds, do laundry, dust/vacuum and think about what to have for dinner and whether I need to run to grocery store.
Very disappointing.
Travel - State Dept @TravelGov
Due to #sequestration @StateDept Passport Agencies won't be open #PPTDay 3/9. Acceptance facilities will be open. http://ow.ly/iaurW
POOR Babies....
Time for a brief musical interlude...
to keep the same size government has to increase by the inflation rate. if it doesnt then it IS a cut.
Lolololol...the best.
I just had a horrifying thought...will gravity survive?
Bush's fault.
The math is off because of draconian cuts to the Department of Education.
The cat got the same amount of food in her bowl as yesterday morning. She is enduring sequestration as well as can be expected.
I tweeted my lib Congressrat that in my opinion, we should triple the Sequester.
