A few years ago, I called 9-11 because of a huge snake under my chair on the porch. Animal control was here within ten minutes, and identified it as a diamondback rattlesnake. It was so large, they could not get it in the container to remove it from my property.
They man had it held just below its head, with a long pair of tongs. He raised the tongs all the way over his head, and the tail was still dragging the ground.
He said it was the biggest rattler he had ever seen, in his 12 years with animal control!
The javelina are relatively safe (just don't FEED them!) Last month, I had seventeen in my yard!

Hi Amy, its so good to see you once again. I thought I would be on longer today but I’m still very tired. It’ll probably be a while before I am regular on Amy’s Place. I need a lot of rest and need to do some work but decided to put work off. I will just straighten up and live here as it really doesn’t matter much. In other words, I will only do what I feel like doing. (I sort of do that anyway.)
And friends, I love all of you and appreciate the prayers and will thank you for any prayers you offer for me. God truly blessed me for letting me meet all these great friends of Amy’s Place and I am grateful to Him. Even though I’ve never seen any of you but you are all like my very best friends.
Its chilly here today and I will be so glad for warm weather once again. Thank goodness, Spring is on its way and it can’t get here too soon for me.
Sending my love and best wishes to ALL OF YOU, DEAR FRIENDS!
((((((hugs)))))))

Great to see you today,Teenie.
Sorry that I have been AWOL so much of the last 3 or 4 months.
Seems like the days are about 6 hours too short.
Good to see that you are doing okay.
You are in my prayers.
Thank you for the sweet Wednesday graphic.
Have a beautiful day.

Happy Warm Fuzzy Wednesday, LTOS.
Love your graphic ...
reminds me to let you know that Marissa has resumed her guitar lessons.
We took a hiatus during foggy January and February.
She was more than ready to get back to her lessons. :)
Wishing you a delightful Wednesday.

So good to see you here today, Jaycee.
Take it easy and do not do more than your body is ready to do. Housework is not that important ... I put off more than I did a couple of years ago. Things just seem to take longer to accomplish.

I can hardly believe that Marissa is 13. Seems like just yesterday that she came to live with us when she was 4 1/2. These 9 years have flown by so fast.
We are working our way thru this teenage stuff. Everyone tells me what we are experiencing is normal for teenage girls. LOL
I remember the years worrying about length of his hair with JustJr. Now, I worry about Marissa’s choice in clothes. They aren’t really that bad but I miss my sweet little girl that was happy with whatever clothes I chose to buy. LOL

I know what you mean about the clothes things. Mine were boys but the same behavior. They had their taste in clothes (just like the other boys wore) and it was impossible that I pick out something for them to wear unless it was what everyone else was wearing. Those teenage years are hard but when she gets in her late teens and into her 20’s, things change drastically. Its still that Mom and child thing. Mama’s don’t know anything about clothes....LOL!!
I, too, remember the years where I could get them anything and they loved it BUT that sure changed. But now, when I see their grown-up problems, I think how simple those other things really were. I guess Mom’s were put here to worry, don’t you? One thing you can be sure of with Marissa, this all will pass and one day you may say, “I wish I had those times back!” Don’t forget it won’t be long until the dating years and talk about worry.....oh my!!
