Hell yeah
These threads always bring out who have no inkling of culture war
They are either too young too stupid or don’t care anyway
That said I do watch TV and movies myself
Knowing full well that likely I have nothing in common with anyone involved in that industry barring precious few exceptions
It’s just how it is
It’s been this way since the 60’s
The old immigrants mostly from Eastern Europe and yes mostly Jewish.... no lectures please.. actually loved America.. they made movies that celebrated our traditional values
And they were very grateful to be here
And our culture benefited from their efforts
Now it is all changed
It is nearly entirely progressive propaganda
Homo sexuality race baiting..as in django unchained
There are few exceptions
David Mamet... I think the Coen Brothers a pretty fair
Most movies that Bruce Willis or Mel Gibson are involved in... or Tom Selleck
Kurt Russell
All those guys are getting old
Now it is just progressive hipsters
Post anything you watch you have to explain it to your children
What is accurate and what is propaganda regardless
Younger posters here simply don’t know any different
It’s not their fault but it just gets worse year after year old folks like me can’t help but see through all of it
Anyhow I did enjoy Skyfall and will miss Judi
My wife and I entertain ourselves with. Dowton abby and Housewives garbage
I miss westerns
Yep, but I definitely think they found a good replacement in Ralph Fiennes.
Wow.. I wonder how *young* I have to be to fall into THAT group??
Hear! Hear!
So do I, well at least new westerns. My family and I watch old westerns regularly.
Brokeback Mountain, or whatever the queer movie is called, will not be watched in my household. Can you imagine a movie of that sort being made in 1940?
I just looked this up, because there is no way I would know this off the top of my head.:
Brokeback Mountain won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and was honored with Best Picture and Best Director accolades from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, Golden Globe Awards, Producers Guild of America, Critics Choice Awards, and Independent Spirit Awards among many other organizations and festivals.
Brokeback Mountain was nominated for eight Academy Awards, the most nominations at the 78th Academy Awards, where it won three: Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Original Score. The film was widely considered to be a front runner for the Academy Award for Best Picture, but lost to Crash. Brokeback Mountain ranks 11th among the highest-grossing romance films of all time. That is America and American values (heavy sarcasm)
All those watching the Oscars need to think about that what you are supporting ... or perhaps that is why we have RINOs being elected?
Have you watched “JUSTIFIED?” You may like it...on weekly - not a movie.
Fair list, yet you missed how ‘green’ the coen brothers are and how vocal they have become.
