Jake: No, I didn’t. Honest... I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn’t have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn’t come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts! IT WASN’T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD!

Off the top of my head, the Boxing Day earthquake of 2004 caused it.

This will no doubt be linked to human-caused global climate disruption. Just wait.

Wonder if the 2004 Christmas 9.2 quake along with the Easter 2005 8.x quake had something to do with this? I know the former speeded up the Earth’s rotation by a few microseconds.

If you travel to the Arctic and attempt to find the axis of Earths rotation, youll notice something odd. Maybe the first odd thing you would notice is that it's not so easy to know when you are at the exact north or south pole, even if the axis is not moving.
