I remember doing it as a chore. AFTER we milked the cow. ;-)
Grease your child’s bicycle chain with it. Here’s why it’s low quality:

Best quality family of brands butter sold, anywhere:

(Trying to watch the g- kids, what the heck is HTML?)
I melt a stick of butter and mix it with 1/2 of EVOO. I keep it in the fridge. It stays semi-solid, spreads easily and tastes good on everything, even pancakes and French toast. Works for me.
That just aint right is it?
My Dad was a health nut that died early of a heart attack
RIP
My parents insist on real butter on the corn my dad grew in his garden.
Thanks for the link.
Butter also tastes better. I can’t see how people can eat margarine, nasty stuff.
lol
I cant believe its not butter:
0g trans fat
No hydrogenated oils
No cholesterol (per serving)
I guess its okay then?
Thanks!
Amen. Kerrygold is my favorite butter. I also love their Red Leicester cheese.
The good die young. My condolences.
Thanks.
That was a long time ago.
Back when public schools were worth a damn, we used to make butter in a churn. Good stuff...real good stuff. Crack heads don’t know what they’re missing...
I’ll have to look for that. I’ve tried their Dubliner which is yummy. Fresh authentic Irish soda bread with Kerrygold. Sooo good.
Unsalted butter is used in cooking (by purists) because it does not add salt to the recipe. Butter varies in the amount of salt it contains; if you add additional salt, the recipe can turn out too salty.
How can margarine be better? Have you read the list of ingredients? Put me in the ‘duh’ vote here.
Butter. Salt. Eggs. Milk. Lard. Beef tallow. Fresh beef, pork, and chicken. Garden veggies. Cane sugar. Home-ground wheat.
Pretty much what our forebears ate, and most of them lived into their eighties, nineties, or even past one hundred in a few cases.
No margarine allowed at our house. No way. That stuff will kill ya.
That's for some good memories right there.
Not in this house. We buy I Can't Believe It's Not Butter LITE. Has 1/2 the calories of regular ICB It's NB and 1/2 calories of real butter. I go by calories.
I’ve always hated margarine and immediately noticed the difference when my mother used it instead of butter. When I left the house, I never bought margarine. I’ve always used butter. There’s no substitute.
