Be still, my heart. Dr Benjamin Carson is freeing up time and energy to pursue his passions in politics and education, retiring from surgery at Johns Hopkins University Hospital. Could world-renowned, up-from-the mean-streets of Detroit inspirational figure be the Man on a White Horse who could rescue America from the fiscal and social death spiral the progressives have foisted upon us?
The Wall Street Journal said it first: "Ben Carson for President".

“Ben Carson for President”
Huzzah.
And the bat-eared-b*stard for prison.
Go Ben, go!
Let’s replace our quota baby president with one who actually has talent and intelligence.
MSM redeploying resources to take him down.
I wonder if he was pressured to leave?
Yes... Herman Cain should be a lesson to us all. These days, it's not good enough to be smart, and have good ideas... you also must be a Saint, and an "every-day man", and have the communication ability of Reagan.
It's a tough gig.
Oh.... you also CAN'T be rich, or have ever treated your dog like... um... a dog!
I’ve watched the Prayer Breakfast speech ceveral times on You Tube...it’s like Manna from heaven for a starving man! He was right on every point and spoke from his heart straight to my heart. We need his kind of calm and steady intelligence in our public discourse.
Oh, I’m sure Gloria Allred will soon be on TV featuring woman after woman who have had affairs with Dr. Carson or been abused by him or had their feelings hurt when he didn’t glance their way at some function or another. The enemy will find a way to drag his name through the dirt and his political aspirations won’t survive. Just watch. :o(
based on one speech?? Are you people retarded?
I don’t think so. He’s stepping away from surgery but will still teach there. I think he’s just freeing himself for a more public role.
We could do a lot worse than Ben Carson. In fact, we already have.
While Dr. Carson’s proposals at the prayer breakfast probably need to be thought out a little more, I applaud him for speaking truth to power like that. I hope he’ll see his role as the voice of conscious asking “Why are you doing things this way and not that way” and stay out of the cesspool of electoral politics. He’s too good a man for that.
I like Dr. Carson. If anything, I wish our lame ass pubbies would listen when he says to stand up to the bullies. That is what the leftists are, and our side reacts by whimpering and running away like weenies.
Nobody respects people who are too cowardly to stand up and be heard.
Exactly. I don’t know enough about him to know if he’s presidential material or not but he has a very compelling message. We need someone unafraid to stand up and ridicule political correctness and to call out cowards.
Much worse!
“Hey, where the White women at?” It’s only a matter of time.
Would all you Freepers find out the complete set of a person policies before you even suggest someone for President. I have heard so many failures over the years on one issue suggestions. The doctor was fantastic for an Administration position but he has not proven to be a President yet.
Well it has been nearly a week and one who knows him has come forward that doesn’t have the highest respect for Dr. Carson. The man is a world class brain surgeon for heavens sake. I seriously doubt he is going to be intimidated by Gloria Allred and her ilk.
