Why not just go to Green Bay and be done with it? Ann Arbor. You can get over 100k in there.
Or, as I put it to the SEC and PAC-10 snobs about the Big-10's poor performance in bowl games: bring your warm-weather pampered butts up to Ann Arbor on Jan 1, and we'll see who wins that game.

"I'd rather see a couple of good college bands..." I've been saying this for a long time. The halftime shows have gone from bad to worse to embarrassing. Just when you thought nothing could be worse than Black Eyed Peas, here comes the garbage they put on yesterday.
Football is an American tradition and marching bands on the field would be treat for all.
It would be a great marketing tool for people to watch college games all season and rate bands on their performances and pick two 'winners'.

They can bring back the marching bands.

The NFL wants primetime ratings for their sponsors. It's a Sunday -- even if they started 2 hours earlier it's still starts early afternoon on the west coast.
Better yet -- make it a Saturday.

Its not only the acts and the singers, but also the crews that have to put the stage together" A reasonable concern, if you axe me. Putting the stage together in the cold would certainly affect the singers' voices and the dancers' muscles, so then how would they lip-sync?

That used to the rule. It limited the Super Bowl to LA/Pasadena, New Orleans, Miami, Houston, and Dallas. The first fifteen games were held in one of these cities. It wasn't just about the venue for the game, it was about the convenience of the fans and media. It's no fun battling a blizzard to leave your hotel for a party at some other location in the days before the game.
I guess the owners of other teams and the mayors for cities they play in got jealous of the revenues the games generated and demanded they get a slice of the pie too. So in 1982 Pontiac, Michigan became the first cold weather site. Still, through 2014 only five Super Bowls have been awarded to truly cold weather locations- Pontiac, Minneapolis, Detroit, Indianapolis, and East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The really insane part of that last choice is it's an outdoor stadium.

While Mrs. Dawgg and I were waiting for the 2nd half to start (we were reading our Kindles) I looked up at all the undulating and caterwauling that apparently passes for a "live" pop music performance these days and asked her. “I don't think this will ever replace entertainment, do you?” She giggled and turned the sound down and we went on reading.

Yesterday had a classy cover of our National Anthem... On that, we differ. Alicia Keys is an Obama supporter who "performed" at his lavish, over-the-top inauguration. Any "artist" who so overtly praises the individual now illegally occupying the White House lacks discernment and, ergo, class.
Jennifer Hudson and Beyonce Knowles are likewise no-talent hacks whose support for the usurper in chief immediately disqualifies them from those with true class such as Hank Williams, Jr. and Charlie Daniels, both of whom are pro-American, pro-gun and, of course, pro-God.

Sadly, you don't get much of that even when watching college games. You get a bunch of talking heads over-analyzing the game and a wrap-up of nationwide scores.

I would love to see a Super Bowl played in a heavy snowfall.
And Super Bowl halftime shows are there for the part of the Super Bowl audience that doesn’t like football.
