Yes, there’s FB and all the games too. Even with a similar work and family schedule, it’s still not enough. More and more, I see it as having a very negative impact on the kids.
I took stock last night when I realized during homework time that my two younger kids do not hardly read anything, not even for fun. I have done them a disservice and it is getting fixed as of this weekend. At their age I was reading two or more books (mostly classics for school, but some Louis L’amour and other stuff too) a month. When they have to for school they do not do it with content mastery so they can get back to there gadgets. I can see how over the last few months it is affecting their home chores as well, poor quality and flat just not doing them until hounded.
I am fixing to go scorched earth and basically eradicate a lot of stuff. I wish I could enforce that on the Mrs as well but that is a battle I will not fight.
