Victory at Sea not just a catchy intro tune but a complete body of work.

One I overlooked:

"Galop" (aka "Cavalry Charge") from Gioachino Rossini's "William Tell Overture" (from The Lone Ranger)

A couple other favorites:

Gerry Anderson’s U.F.O.

The Rookies

That Girl - great orchestral arrangement

Wish I'd known that when spending some time there. Would have done the same.

“Go Hoss!!!!”

He was also a very comical actor. One of the funniest episodes was Hoss and the Leprechauns

Peter Gunn. When you hear a good show theme like Hawaii Five-O or Barney Miller, you think of the show. Peter Gunn transcended the show.

‘Near You’ by Francis Craig and Kermit Goell is very good...

Texaco Star Theater and Mr Television, Milton Berle.

Mr. Television

In 1948, NBC decided to bring Texaco Star Theater from radio to television, with Berle as one of the show’s four rotating hosts.

Francis Craig and Kermit Goell’s Near You became the theme song that closed Berle’s TV comedy shows.

Don’t think as a tv series but it was the theme for the old Marlboro commercials.

Those great looking men (I’m a girl), fantastic scenery and that music ? No wonder “they” were so obsessed with getting cigarette commercials off the air!

Yeah, man - UFO! Here's another one from Barry Gray: Space:1999

Derek Wadsworth took over for the second season.

I had a few email conversations with Derek. He always downplayed his importance from that series, focusing instead on the children's books he wrote. Have to agree with him there. But he was really cool. Always answered his emails personally.
