“Braces”, what many of us here call suspenders.
Some may be wondering how attachments to straighten and align your teeth could get caught by a passing mirror.

My grandfather called them galluses. That's the term I use simply to be annoying.
And the mystery of my neighbors' Giant Pile o' Rocks is solved. Workers arrived last Friday (and Saturday) and built a fairy tale stone wishing well, with a protruding lip and a shingled roof. It's right next to the diorama of Papa Smurf shooting craps with Daisy Duke at Casino Night in a scale model VFW hall.
P.S. I made up the part about Papa Smurf.
Since I dated a Brit for several months, and love British films, I have an Automatic Word Substitute gear in my vocabulary archive. Or something. Anyway, I’m not usually at a loss for the meaning of some words. I think it’s fun!
