Well... they weren't exactly burning up the roads with their plowblades-- The county guys made a pass down the road at 0130 both ways, and didn't show back up until after you (Darks) were up. After they went past I took a stroll through the solidified globull warming to the end of the drive to see how buried it was, and was surprised that it wasn't socked in as is the usual case.
being down-sized
Considering that the county is at skeleton crew status, and hires in outside contractors to help with stuff like this, I don't know how much more downsizing they can do and still maintain anything! (The downsizing has already happened - they once had enough employees that they could run shifts but that is no longer the case.)
