Now I did. No problem, except we’ll be driving from the airport at rush hour. I’ll pack snacks!
I don’t publish my ping lists because when I did, the members got attacked by TBL trolls, and the trolls asked to be put on the list as well, and they attacked me every time I posted a zot announcement.
I found out who they were, took them all off my lists, and took my lists private.
There are people who would love to see this site go dark, and we have to be watchful.
Yes, thank you for the long-list advice, but mine are all too short to trigger the multi-post pings.
I can wait there for an hour or two, if it’s more convenient. I hate rush hour, too, so I understand. No biggy. I can get a snack at the airport and that will hold me till we get back to your place. I may even ingest some Restorative while I’m waiting, so make your plans accordingly. No rush.
Once I’m there, I can’t leave for another five days, so take your time! LOL!
And if I bring both the Nook and the Kindle, I will have games as well as reading material, so time will pass quite pleasantly. I’m not visiting to be a nuisance...(after all, it’s your dime!) I’m visiting to enjoy the experience!

Can it tell you plugged something in to the USB port but doesn’t know what it is. Or the laptop doesn’t see anything at all when you plug the Palm in?
It keeps saying it can’t connect, and I take that to mean that something between the two is not recognized.
But I’m not going to give up. There IS a solution! I just haven’t found it. Or been able to recognize it.
And even though I’ve got it to recognize Bluetooth, I don’t know how to get it to do what I need. *sheesh* (I hate being so ineffectual/uneducated.)
You don’t want to pay airport prices for food and beverage, when we have it at home. We’ll work it out. Once you get past the big mall in Pineville, the traffic out to here isn’t that bad.

While I agree with the probable cause and the intent, I think that's dumb if you're trying to eliminate duplicate pings, because it means multiple pings anyway. Only more work. :^)

It does indeed mean more work, and the sending out of additional pings, but to a different list of people.
The only way to know for sure is to try it. I'd recommend the Official Friday Silliness Thread ping, which seems to exhibit the phenomenon.
