Russian PM not joking – extraterrestrials live among us according to MIB documentary

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev’s off-air comments that Russian Presidents are given a secret file about extraterrestrials living among us created much media interest. Most news reports claimed that Medvedev was simply joking. His apparent reference to the Men In Black movie as a source of information on a super secret agency that monitors extraterrestrials on Earth was commonly cited as key evidence that he was in fact joking. The reasoning is that no political leader would refer reporters to a comedy to clarify national policy. It has now emerged that Medvedev was not referring to the Men in Black comedy after all, but to a recent Russian television documentary titled “Men in Black” that reveals many details about an extensive cover up of extraterrestrial life visiting Earth.

However, a more accurate translation of what Medvedev actually said about the Men in Black phenomenon was: “You can receive more detailed information having watched the documentary film of the same name.” So Medvedev was referring to a Russian “documentary film” titled Men in Black, not the Hollywood blockbuster by the same name...

Russian Men In Black (MIB) documentary, a number of prominent UFO cases in Russia and the USA are discussed. The Roswell UFO crash is covered, along with a number of extraterrestrial abduction cases, and UFOs disabling nuclear weapons facilities. The documentary examines testimony that extraterrestrial bases have been established on Earth, and that some are in restricted US military areas with the full knowledge of the Pentagon. The documentary even goes on to seriously discuss President Eisenhower’s alleged meeting with extraterrestrials, where agreements were reached with some of the visitors giving them permission to take some of the Earth’s resources in exchange for advanced technology...

Fred-help, not optimal for results that are wanted by the humans being “helped.”

Is it old age?

Half the time I don’t know what’s going on. The other half I don’t care.

But I like to put in my $.02 anyway.

Ah, Fred the Insane is a cat [he denies it] that belongs to Slip18.
He helps Cyber perform tasks.
Or, at least, Fred thinks he is helping.
Sometimes though he “helps” mom.
This is a special level of help titled “Fred-help”.
Think of customer service tech calls as they once were where they actually helped.
Now think of them as they are now.

Now place them on another planet in a parallel dimension staffed by aliens that have a diseased sense of humor on what constitutes help and this is what “Fred-help” is.

If the objective was to paint the floor with bean dip, then Fred could rationally be said to have helped.

Obviously this is highly fictionalised.

Funny you should bring that up. That was how I won my current customer support bid. Unfortunately, getting the QoS network connection to achieve the necessary quality across the threshold is turning out to be more difficult than I thought. Somehow the tunneling keeps switching the packet order. I think there's a transform to map our number sequence to the sequence in the other dimension, but it's proving difficult to work out. I'm about to suggest an empirical method for up to 100 packets since it's exceedingly rare to have more in a single transmission.

The results are quite humorous when put in a VOIP system. It's kind of like having scrambled your this like sentence, but with no guarantee the packets end on word boundaries.

In some ways it's not unlike getting your customer support from India, but we bid a higher level of success on the first call.

Yikes, that sounds pretty bad.

“Why are we getting flipped bits? None of this makes sense!”

The bits aren't getting flipped, the number sequence in the other universe isn't the same as it is in ours. They have a different ordinality. Think of it like this:

When I was in school, we had programming tasks like taking the ASCII value for the letter A and sending it to a device that would show an a on the LED display. The LED display was made up of a set of bars like the ones in those old digital clocks - one bar for each position on an 8 and a couple of extra ones to make letters that don't draw well on an a. A bit in the word decides whether a bar is on or off.

If you try to write a program to map from 101, 102, 103, etc., to a, b, c, etc., you'll find the logic is pretty messed up because letters don't "build" on top of each other in any kind of rational way. Going from H to I isn't just a matter of adding a bar or deleting a bar, for example. So the "ordinality" of letters isn't at all like the "ordinality" of numbers.

I'm dealing with something like that, trying to find the way to map our first 100 ordinal numbers to their first 100 ordinal numbers from a formula perspective is tricky. But it's simple just to create a map. The only issue is if I ever have a message more than 100 packets long. I have to work out the liklihood it could happen with the impact if it did. The impact is some funky sounding sentences, so I'm thinking I can go with it.

Adding tot he fun is the variable length of the packets. Sometimes I get a whole paragraph, sometimes only a word. It's based on when the person at the other end pauses.

An thus DuhBama flapped his ears mightily at the proclomation, and blinked in confusion, then hardening his heart he declared those opposed to his autocracy to be terrorists and undesirable elements, and he sent out his drones unto the masses.

that of course would be a cause for disaster for anyone who talks like e e cummins wrote there would be no discernible pauses the vocalization of punctuation is what produces pauses to really groove on the works of e e cummins you need to drop your common sense so that you can have tea and no tea simultaneously to cross the multidimansional barrier you must first merge your real world data with a randomized matrix populated with the e e cummins anthology there I esplained it for you

Oddly enough, that might work. But I think a database of Obama Intelligent Statements might be more random. The question is whether the sample size would be big enough.

Something to chew on.

Dangit, I wrote a little script to pass Obama speeches through a logic optimizer to find just the statements that made sense.

My system decided it was a virus and has locked me out. I should have known there was no way for that to look benign.

Based on your choise of samples, it certainly would be random, but...

The question is whether the sample size would be big enough.

it would be a null set...

Back to the question of “materialist magicians,” I would say, no, we don’t have them. As I see it, a characteristic of the hyper-materialists is their failure to produce the results they are seeking. For example, embryonic stem-cell research would be an obvious field for such an outcome: human sacrifice to the god of “Scientific Progress.” However, this research has failed to produce useful results.

In a more spiritual age, did it work out any better? Did sacrificing babies to Molech save the city from invasion or avert famine? Seems like they all ... Carthage, Tyre, Carchemish ... got the Zot anyway. It’s as if the gods of the Left are FAIL gods, no matter what you offer them ... Basement Cat is a more helpful deity, at least if you want fur all over your stuff.

What ong came up in my Winamp playlist when I scrolled to this image?
David Bowie “Scary Monsters and Supercreeps”.

It’s just wrong.
So wrong.

If you leave the meat in long enough, it actually pasteurizes. I imagine you could eat pork medium cooked, but who would want to? Ick.

Some people with immune deficiencies would find sous-vide very useful.

Not at all...pretty realistic, actually. I'm waiting for him to make that kitteh-to-cat transition I've seen in the others, and I don't think it's coming any time soon. {sigh}
