Yeah but they are not a worry. They are less annoying than true roaches. Roaches are plentiful in New York and you know how they are very tough to get rid of and very numerous. Not so with Palmetto bugs. They are relatively rare and die easily, and I think I’ve seen maybe 10 in the 10 years I’ve been here.

Luckily roaches are not as common as they were in the Bronx. I haven’t seen a single one since we moved to Long Island in 1980.

10 in 10 years? What about other bugs. I’m a total bug phobe. Lucky for me, my Mary loves to catch and eat(ew)anything that moves.

You could only imagine the dreadful scene when I have to take a spider out. Oh, the horror!
